Did you get a response from fans toys yet or have tried futures?

Just wondering which retailer you got yours from?

@Clyde the Jackal Oh yeah, the infamous GerWTFLOLOMG mode. Truly a thing of beauty!  

 

So, I emailed [email protected] and dalianjj responded with the following: "no parts available from factory, but there is a replacement pin could fix this, you can get it in your local store or I could send it to you, but it may take 10-12 weeks to arrive."

I am a fan of Fans Toys, so I have no ill will toward them, (only company in my eyes that are making "Best" representation of G1 TF figures), however being the -Best- is not an excuse to release faulty figures and just be "sorry, all this batch have this issue, you could use some future to tighten it." and wipe hands of the issue.

I will end my rant with, Fans Toys are still around and addressing issues. They are not perfect but are willing to assist. This I can appreciate but the cost is getting to a point where this is not acceptable.

Hope all is well for Fans Toys. I would like to see that they continue to succeed and improve.

I wasn't offered the pin, unfortunately. They just told me to use future which I have no interest in doing. So IDK. I'll save the image of the pin and try to find it. My luck with getting replacement parts has been stressful lately. From trying to get replacement thighs for Ollie from XTB to this has been a challenge.

 

I was offered the pin replacement after I pressed further for a replacement option. I am not even sure how that pin would fix the issue. After I receive the pictured replacement I will try pulling the pin out of FT-29Ts arm to have a look.

 

Didn't somebody on here say Fanstoys was sending them a new arm? Why are some people able to get whole new limbs and others get told to use floor polish?

 

Fans Toys official statement was the Factory has no further replacement parts.

 

Did he even tell you the name of that pin and the size in case people have to go and buy it themselves?

 

No explanation, just the picture. Picture was named 29T肘关节, translated is 29t Elbow.

 

Damn...how can someone buy that part on their own..I'll download that image as well then so if I need to, I can ask them to send that part.

 

My second one showed up. No QC issues on the character but he arrived with no instructions or character card. So, waiting on a new arm for loosely mcelbows on my first one and the insert materials on my second. Really starting to feel some remote on buying in on all three of the recent RIs. The lack of QC on both my Quieti is making these reissues feel hurried and shoddily done.

 

Yeah, @The Allspice said they were sending him the arm. @imest gets to hunt for replacements or wait to get sent one or two and I get to break out the floor polish!

 

... maybe they were produced by the "BAD" factory. Oh wait... this is a FansToys thread.    

 

Maybe ft also produces furniture polish. They got us comin and goin then...

Just got mine from showz as well. Will be taking a look at him this weekend.

 

Yeah, I'm curious if they weren't just blowing smoke if you got a response that different a few days later. At least your issue is repairable with some polish though? Seeing everyone get told to kick rocks has me pretty nervous about my odds on getting a second manual and character card. I'm wondering if I didn't basically buy two 270 dollar figures to make one serviceable figure. For me the manual is a lot more make or break on my future FT purchases though. I can't floor polish myself a working manual or bio card.

 

Finally had the chance to go over this guy after getting him a week or so ago. The bicep rotations on mine were just a little loose - when posed, they hold it and they can hold any of the accessories so it doesn't harm the figure at all, but they are not as tight as the rest of the joints. But pictures do not do this thing justice. Also, apologies for the junky diorama stuff - I'm still working on what I'm going to do with these figures so I'm just using scraps right now.

I cannot say that I feel good about how much he cost this time around but as that sting goes away, this will be one of my favorite pieces without question.
