I doubt that. I don't mind them as generics but when they just nameslap OG targetmasters on guys that look nothing like them I find that to be disappointing, I'd hope for more effort, and if that isn't possible I'd rather nothing, since for me, it's just a mediocre inclusion that jacks up the price.
Nah, all you have to do is get Dracodon when he’s released. Put him and ER Grapple into a paper bag and store them in a cool, dark place for a few days. When you open the bag again, Grapple should be a nice shade of lime green. (Dracodon is radioactive, so you should see results pretty quickly.)

Do you mean cartoon accurate, or accurate to the E-Hobby release? If it's the former, you could get pretty close with Solar Storm Grappel from HFTD, considering this is the only shot of him we have. A bit too short for the Earthrise mold to work. I do want to see a green Grapple repaint with Inferno's head, though, which is what the E-Hobby release was (and his most consistent depiction across fiction).

The G1 cartoon version which would be a retool of grapple. That is what I want. I might be down for the green one as well, but #1 on my list is cartoon Hauler. I'll wait a while longer to see if Hasbro makes Hauler before I buy an older version of him. I think a newer version will look better than those older ones.
Haulers Cab is bigger, and a few other things. The different cab could change the look of his body some. Plus the robot mode could have a different head, and other subtle changes.
It was simply drawn before Grapple had a proper animation model hashed out, so it was stylized slightly differently than how Grapple turned out in S2.
This is exactly what I did for my kids collections , I like him and grapple both being completely different molds and I like the color differences with the head , ect. Solar storm Grapple as a toy holds up just fine with the newer stuff IMVHO
