I just got him, had an easier time transforming him then I did Paleotrex. I like Rexy a bit more, (because I'm biased towards tyrannosaurus, and I like the warmer colors) but he's still a great figure.

Not fussed on the sloppy paint wash, but otherwise, Raccy is a lot more of a solid feeling figure than Palaeotrex.

The skeleton mode has lots of personality, and besides the lack of neck swivel, is tons of fun.

Robot mode is chonky and great. It's possible to get him in a few different solid configurations.

(Here's my favourite in retro Beast Wars packaging art pose):

Then here's my obligatory contribution to the combiner monstrosities....

Definitely another hit for the Fossilizers and a welcome addition to the Predacon ranks. Don't be a bonehead and miss out on him!

Not me who discovered this, full credit to Facebook photos I saw. Ractonite's ribcage is dismantle-able, and it almost seems like it was a feature that they nerfed. There are two tabs per ribcage that are glued in, and with careful forceful wiggling, I was able to pry both sides off. They tab right back in, and hold great.

    *YOUR MILAGE MAY VARY!*

I got lucky, my Ractonite's glue gave way with very little effort, and the residue of the glue is helping in providing friction for tabbing it back together. While I was prying it apart, I felt like the outer rib parts were going to break instead of coming off as one piece, and depending on glue levels, this is certainly a possibility. Keep this in mind if you want to do this mod.

Really cool figure. Overall I like him more than Paleotrex, but both are a lot of fun and I can’t wait for Wingfinger.

I think Tricerasnake mode is my favorite.

Studio Series Blitzwing. They’re on 5mm pegs so they plug right in.

Thanks! Stood straight, it's around the height of an old school Leader class (Siege Ultra Magnus reaches up to around its chest).

I like your snake monster a lot.:rock  Definitely not something I'd wanna meet in the dark. But Ractonite is a Styracosaurus. ;)

Finally got my pair of these guys from BBTS yesterday. I have to say, they aren't as play-friendly as Paleotrex, in terms of making up your own creations. There's just not enough variety of pegs and holes. Kinda disappointed I got two of them.

Is the dino mode head crest supposed to be removable or did my ractonite just break?

Can someone who has taken the ribs off of their Ractonite share a photo of her in her robot mode without them?

Ohhh, I thought the pegholes went through the ribs and into the torso as well, not just the ribs. Also I have no interest in removing them from my copy lol, this is purely morbid curiosity :D
