Damn RED really is the red-headed stepchild of this franchise, isn’t it?

If Reformatting Megatron looks absolutely stunning then I might get him to display with Unicron.

Again, that's if his deco completely blows me away, and even then only maybe. I never picked up any of the G1 guys so far cause they've all been really damn boring looking, this coming from someone whose favorite designs are G1 and BW.

I have Cheetor and Arcee. Arcee is terrible and I'm hoping for a deluxe in the near future, as unlike most Prime designs I actually kinda like her's. Though I'd probably wait for a Flamewar repaint.

I'm really disappointed that Cheetor isn't basically a non transforming version of the Masterpiece Robot mode, he's the only one so far that isn't totally screen accurate, and yet they advertise screen accuracy as a major selling point of the whole line. I expect Primal to get the same treatment as Cheetor, meaning that despite marketing screen accuracy he'll have significant design changes all over him. It's especially annoying since the current alternative is Kingdom, which while good, aren't totally screen accurate, and RED could have been a good avenue to get those.

It's not "wasting resources" if they're selling

They wouldn't continue with RED if it weren't selling well.

Oh okay, you're anecdotal evidence is all I need to see. Hasbro should cancel RED because one dude posted a picture of his Walmart.

It's only ever "wasting resources" if it's something they don't want. Hell, look at all the people who claimed BW being added as part of Kingdom was a mistake because G1 is what sells...and now we're catching wind that the line has been such a huge success they're adding another wave.

I was really excited about the RED figures, because I'm the odd duck that doesn't care one bit about transforming his Transformers. I just want robot modes that are as accurate to the original cartoons (and sometimes comics) of my youth as possible. This seemed like the line I had been dreaming of since I was a kid. Loved the first wave, but was disappointed in the second, as I am really only interested in G1 characters. So those were a pass. Looking forward to Bumblebee and everything else. I'm actually pretty stoked about a reformatted Megatron, I'm hoping/assuming it'll resemble the PVC Heroes of Cybertron figure from a while back. I think that's a cool deco. But otherwise, I'll admit that I'm a little bummed that they're already resorting to repaints this early in the line, with so few figures released so far.

They may not be selling to the consumer but they are selling to the retailers which is what matters to them since thats where they make their money, they might not selling all of them at once but theres bound to be people who are not hardcore fans of the brand that either buy the toys for themselves or as a gift

Even if RED was really selling poorly (which for all we know it could be but we don't know for sure) you guys realize these figures are planned and produced so far in advance there's no way those returns cold be calculated in time to change future releases for at least a few waves in, right?

times like these that i wish we could get some kind of data on the sales per line. i've never seen RED at any of my walmarts but i've only gone ~7 times since october so it could be a fluke. meanwhile some people have them shelfwarming like crazy like above^ which just solidifies anecdotal evidence doesn't prove anything

all i know is there's been a lot of issues with the final toys ranging from lack of fitting designs to a random pivot to not being 100% toon accurate like the selling point was to gimped or poorly done joints. sad.

As long as Primal matches Cheetors aesthetic I can see myself grabbing one. I know they're SUPPOSED to be screen accurate but I like "Box Art Cheetor", and being able to make the same pose as the art made him worthwhile

If Megatron is 'purple' and covered in 'pink' grid lines I'd be down for getting one (the 'x-ray' view printed on the toy would be amazing, but I can't see Hasbro spending that kind of money).

I want to like these. They look good from a distance, but upclose all the ones I see at stores have paint issues. Kind of what's kept me from snapping them up.

I like them as a sign of an expanding line, and if it does well enough it'd make the perfect place for stuff like Transmutate and BW Ravage to go with the Kingdom guys.

I also wouldn't mind combiner teams with BAFs to build the combiner itself.

If you’re not buying, why does it matter to you? Others obviously are buying, why do you feel like you have the right to demand something they enjoy is taken from them?
