I might bite on Springer if he looks good. I don’t understand the need for YET ANOTHER Wheeljack repaint as himself. Meanwhile, characters like Slicer haven’t been updated yet. Even an Energon Downshift deco would be nice (the tan parts). But it’ll probably be “WFC Wheeljack but with different battle damage”.

So maybe in for Springer. Maybe for Soundwave. Definitely in for Ratchet.

 

The strangest thing about re-releasing Springer is he wasn’t even IN the Netflix show. Maybe they go for a clean TFTM’86 deco and he becomes a defect SS86 release?

You would pay about the same to commission a professional customiser to do the same job.

I look forward to seeing the rest of these. I'm passing on Prime because I have enough versions of the Siege Prime mold, lol. I'll wait and see on the other WFC figures. I already have them all and don't really feel like they need repaints, but I will go case by case.

Now Studio Series on the other hand, I am VERY excited for! Unlike WFC they seem to have targeted some of the harder to find characters like Ratchet, SS 32 Prime, and SS18 Bumblebee. I don't have any of these, and the Bumblebee looks fantastic. I pre ordered it immediately. All they need now is to get Iron Hide in there...

If they continue this series, I'd love to see them tackle Earth Rise Ratchet with a more G1 accurate paint scheme.

They did their identical mainline release already. This is a special subline of repaints (coming like 2.5 years after the original release).

I seriously see no reason for the Premium Finish Starscream to exist. $129 for a slightly duller Starscream? No thanks - and this is coming from the dude that fucking sleeps with Starscream.

 

It’s $52.99 on Hasbro Pulse…still pricy for a deluxe painted voyager…

 

I live in Australia. It's $120. Not $129 like Prime was, but still overly expensive.
