Damn, I love this show! Wasn't sure when they announced it, but damn. Can't wait till Megatron shows up

 

Very good episode, hats off to all involved.  

The opening was a bit blah, typical american high school crap translated to robots on an alien planet etc. But it worked and didn't outstay it's welcome.

A lot of things worth talking about but most has already been said so I'll say that what interests me most is why the tears at the end.
I'd like to know if they were due to the meeting with Optimus stirring up feelings or if all she really wants is to be normal again and the realization that she's stuck the way she is now terrifies her.

Either way, she is complex and easy to empathaize with, just like the creative team promised us last summer.

Bring on the next one and the one after that!

 

well, this episode revealed a lot of things about past. But it is poor for fun side. And where were ratchet and prowl. this episode could be better if they involved.

Felt it was a good episode all around. Not as good as say..Thrill of the Hunt or Blast from the Past, but I rather enjoyed it. Some good backstory going into it, nice character development. This just furthers my opinion that Animated is the single best continuity since Beast Wars.

 

This was the first episode I've seen. I like some things about it, but it is still hard to get over the way they look plus how bad the last Transformers has been lately. Over all I thought the show has a lot of potential. I didn't like that Optimus left Elita. I don't know Animated Optimus but to me G1 would have sent away Sentinel and gone in after Elita. I liked the Halloween scenes. And I agree it was kinda emotional. I just would have rather Optimus and BA have a misunderstanding because he did try to go back for her.

 

Cybertron Optimus was such a dick to leave Elita-1 like that.

 

Trust me this isn't as bad as Unicron Trilogy. As for the record, Dark Prime has a torrent list of some of the previous episodes in this same section. Try watching them too, that'll help you understand the TF Animated verse more.
And yeah this isn't G1 Prime. He isn't the almighty leader...yet.

Btw, I did comment that it was funny they left her like that because to me it was like shades of G1 Prime and his autobots leaving the fembots behind (and oh watch Thrill of the Hunt most especially) on Cybertron. Granted, they were soldiers too but still they were femmes!

I don't think he would have. In fact, I think there was a G1 ep where he had to leave Elita behind similar to how he did in this ep. (though she didn't die or get mutated into a spider, obviously) Plus, he thought she was dead, she didn't have an energy sig. (well, she did, it was just hidden)

 

I'm watching "Along came the spider" and I love it.

I knew that Sentinel hated Prime because he holds him responsible for loosing Elita-1, though I didn't know the name of that female bot on the picture we saw at that time. And it's a nice twist that Elita-1 isn't hooked with OP but with SP, a Prime, but not the one we know.

Sari in OP costume is awesome, as well as BB with his cape, pointed teeth and "I'm Count Dracubot, and I'll suck your motor oil!" routine. And I love the way they portraited Blackarachnia, so similar to BW Blackarachnia and yet so different.

 

I also LOLed when Sari spoke like Oprimus Prime. I thought she sounded more like the Original G1 Optimus Prime than this current rendition.

 

Yeah, she did speak in a deep-deep voice. That was funny, though I don't think it was homage.


Speaking of Prime's voice, I'm kinda sad we never got this Prime voice sooner, like for Cybertron.

 

If he had detected her, I seriously doubt the would have... her organics masked her energy signature from him. He thought she was already dead, remember?

and at this rate, if the decepticons just keep walking over these guys one at a time like this, Prime and company are screwed.

 

WOW! This episode might rival the thrill of the hunt for me. Elita`s design was an interesting blend of Ba`s color Ariel`s head and Elita`s body. I do miss the butterfly head shape. Maybe when she is healed.
Also Elita looked like she could transform so maybe we will see more of her in flashbacks. Or even a figure?
SP is lame. I would rather have seen Dion. Overall it was a heavy episode Sari learned her lesson and we have a new frightening super-dangerous (because she is damaged) Blackaracnia.

Yah I know. There's been so many homages so far they may be getting blurred. But Sari did remind me of Peter Cullen's voice. Hence the

I wonder how many other TF:A 'cons will have this complex backstory.

I know, it's just comments like that bug me. If the tables were turned, no woman would stand for that. I wasn't being totally serious myself. (though I didn't think I needed a smilie to make that clear)
