I would say... that’s bad! I’d contact XTB with the same info and pictures and see if you can get some replacement parts.

I’m really glad I sold this set

That bulging pin definitely is supposed to be pressed in so its flat. Do you have a pair of channel lock pliers or a clamp that can open evenly to easily squeeze it into place? The waist should have a pin too. Did you check inside to make sure a pin didn't fall out and get stuck somewhere? If there were no pin at all, I dont think you would have gotten that far till it came apart. If you really dont have the pin I would contact them for sure but I would put a nut and bolt or screw through there just to fix it anyway, provided it wont interfere with anything. The wheel is fixable but if it's not bothering you the other two require immediate attention.

I can try some pliers (covered w/ a rag to try not ruining the plastic) to push the bulging pin in place later. No pins fell out when the torso separated at the waist.

I've messaged ShowZ on FB to see if they're able to help before I try contacting X-Transbots directly. Still waiting on a reply.

I swear, after my Dead End's shoulder breaking (and they still haven't sent me the correct replacement part) and now the trailer giving me multiple issues I think I'm ready to quit collecting X-Transbots figures. I should've gone w/ DX9 for my Stunticons.

One step closer to never having to transform that trailer again...

Which is rather sad really, I quite like X-Transbots products in general, but I dislike worrying about breaking something worth £150 every time I transform it.

out to the uk members if your after a reasonably priced crackup and cheap overheat which needs work and contacting xtb for 2 front shoulder bits which would still work out cheaper than buying elsewhere if you have to pay shipping for those parts ;)

xtb crackup and overheat ( uk only )

Lookin good! Had they not incorporated that sloppy base mode, I'm sure they could've made transformation from trailer to combined mode easier and more enjoyable so what a waste on that part. I will end up doing what you are to have a trailer for vehicle purpose avoiding back n' forth transforming which is a shame to do but it will save and extend the life of the trailer and save my sanity.

@Marker On the 4 wheel covers that attach to Wild Rider I sanded down each peg as I felt the fit was waaay to tight and that seemed to help. I also was able to get the replacement wheel covers pretty easily from XTB directly.

Cheers old chap, much appreciated! Kept it a bit simpler than I originally intended to be honest, but I know my limits with styrene curves...

I agree, a lot of thin panels that almost certainly could have been designed differently if there were just two modes. Nice idea to have base mode but a shame about the knock on effect on the two modes that the majority of people will probably use most.

Hehe, it's not that I had problems getting them to fit, the peg fell right off like the moment I touched it. I didn't even get a chance to try fitting it into Wild Rider's wheel. I didn't have too much trouble getting the remaining ones in.

I'm waiting to see if ShowZ can do something for me since that's where I bought the trailer from. I don't want to ask XTB for replacement parts yet since they didn't send me the correct part for Dead End's shoulder and when I asked for another replacement they said they don't have parts available. So my Dead End only has 1 arm now.

Blast from the past... Here is what the XTB Monolith (Menasor) trailer looked liked before the redesign. Wow, I forgot how this originally looked. Screen grabs from this youtube video.

I finally got my trailer today but I lurked this topic in the lead up and saw all the comments about how awful the transformation is and shrugged it off.

“I love complex transformations!!!” I said.

A half hour later.....all I’ll say is “There IS no trailer...there is only Menasor.”

    Awesome figure, wouldn’t transform again.

I've transformed mine five times now, it does get easier, the first time was a pain, but once you know it, you can transform it in about 20-30 minutes tops

Excellent deal at ShowZ, they majorly discounted Gravestone($90), trailer($167), & add on kit($43) in the Flash Sale section so I bought all 3 for $280 using their promo code and some points. Because of some other preorders I specifically preordered the reissues of these guys at BBTS counting on it taking long but it would have been dumb to pass up ShowZ's deal!

Yes - and can you imagine what all that would have cost if there was not one but two box trailers, each larger than the final single trailer, containing the Menasor skeleton parts and all the faux shells, etc!! Ouch! The two-trailer base mode was pretty cool though, albeit ginormous!

Thanks for the heads up. I'm tempted to grab these and forget about the G2 versions to complete my set. By the time XTB releases them, I'm not sure I'll care anymore!

How to use the promotion-code (8$ off) on the trailer?

FYI, TFSource is also running a sale on the trailer and accessory kit.
