I received mine last friday (reissue of the regular version) and I'm loving it. Possibly my favourite NA Autobot so far.

 

Too bad. I'd be tempted to double dip if there were more changes; I will just hold onto the original for now. Looking at Starscream, Prowl and Soundwave I think NA could re-release Jazz and Bluestreak with a few minor changes.

 

there are also other reasons for not doing reissues. making as much money as you can off a bot. isnt always what it is cracked up to be.

but with respect to NA, seems like they have built up a big enough reputation and following that they are generating sufficient revenue to fund them continuing to release multiple decos and re-issues as part of their running business model.

Yeah, I just got the new version, and can confirm the above. The plastic colour difference is there, but it’s so slight as to be barely perceptible - it’s definitely not something that I could demonstrate well in a photograph.

If you don’t have the original, then this re-issue is a must-buy.

But if you already have the original, the variation is so minor that the new version is probably only recommended for hardcore Newage completists only.

As much as I like the engineering of tucking the doors away, to me, Jazz should have his wings out. Ahhhhh. What’s cool about the kit is that it also fills in the gap behind the head flap and makes it feel more solid, and less of a trapdoor behind his head.

good luck. i have been trying to sell the NA car bros for ages now dirt cheap and i still can't even give these things away.

 

What is 'dirt cheap'? I might be interested in taking them off your hands to add to the 'fiddle box' of figures I leave out for my nephew!

I would very much doubt that, they seem to sell very quickly now stores are running out of stock- unless you are pricing above retail…

 

oh don't doubt it those are facts.

i am extremely plugged in to the legends community and even at 20 shipped new and boxed. i barely sold that jazz and 2 of the other datsun bros just recently.

these things just don't have a fast or much of resale value.

basically for the aforementioned reasons that you just gave. they are widely available and the market is extremely saturated.

i don't know why but it is just the nature of the beast.
