Blurr is a jai alai-playing pirate in an alternate universe. Al least, they’re trying to do something with those big sleeves.

 

Looks great. And Megatron's good too. Given the short turnaround to Meg's announcement, I'm surprised we haven't seen what they're doing with Bee yet.

 

I hope these SG figures sell well. I was lucky enough to get Blurr pre-ordered before they sold out. I hope a bunch more are made so those who didn't get one pre-ordered will still get one at regular price. I could see the aftermarket price of these going up pretty high.

I'm betting they use the Siege Prowl mold for Goldbug. Keeps up with the use of Cybertronian molds (Blurr, Megatron, Jetfire is supposed to be Siege as is Starscream), would be a sports car and bears a passing resemblance to movie Bumblebee's profile with the door wings and hood chest.

 

As I've said, I'm a sucker for black and blue together...I'll probably be changing that head out and calling him something else though.

 

Wait Jetfire is going to be in this line? as in commander jetfire is getting a black and purple repaint!!??

 

Every single time I try to invision a SG Jetfire, my mind always replaces his white with that sorta lighter lavender color that Siege Barricade used on like his arms and guns.

I know he's mostly black but that lavender is the color I always default to for some damn reason... I mean it would probably look really good on that mold.

 

According to the leaks (that have thus far been pretty much entirely accurate about the SG line), yes, Jetfire will be in it, presumably in his traditional SG colors.

 

Looks like ill be buying em then.... that figure in black amd purple sounds amazing.

 

I found that guy too big and the TR hit the spot design and size wise for me.

As to TR Blurr, I think he got a bad rap. And truthfully I’d be good with either mold. That said, I did add a few minor paint highlights to my TR fig when I got him and it just makes it pop that much more. So my comparison isn’t exactly apples to apples.

 

I'm curious since we also have the Bumblebee movie Cybertronian 'Bee in Studio Series who might work with some shin and chest retooling as well as a rumored Deluxe Flying Saucer Bumblebee in the Buzzworthy line, who could use a second use.

I don't expect an earth vehicle in SG's first capsule of 5 as they seem to be telling a prequel story although I could see a second set of 5 being all Earth vehicles. If they want to carry the WFC parallel out then they could do a third set that's all beasts.

As I personally envision it, set 2 would be Hot Rod, Thundercracker, Soundwave (tape deck), Sideswipe, and maybe Ultra Magnus? Then set 3 would be all beasts with a SS Grimlock redeco, Primal, Beast Megatron, etc. This covers the highlights of existing SG characters with the exclusion of Treadshot and a few others who might work as Selects releases and does so in a way where the capsules stay themed.

I think Magnus stands a better chance in selects personally. The armored mode has a distinct lack of faction logos so they could have it pull double duty as delta magnus and sg magnus, other than that I'm pretty much in agreement with your ideas

Honestly, if they keep with the theme and do ER and Kingdom, I'd like: Rodimus, Soundwave, Cyclonus, Thundercracker, and Sideswipe. Then for Kingdom: Rhinox (with Dark Designs colors), Beast Megatron, Beast Wars Scorponok, Optimus Primal and Dinobot

 

I got my fingers crossed for some SG characters that never got toys. Like maybe a Kup in G1 Sourge colors or a Shockwave in...whatever that color scheme they picked was. Or how about a skywarp?

 

If they did a wave two, I’d like to see SG Rodimus, Grimlock, Soundwave, Jazz, and maybe a four-pack or cassettes.
