    Nice! Extra playability.

Still, I think is a wasted opportunity that the turret doesn't have a port on top of it to put Rodimus' gun like the MP had.

That's true to an extent, but I recall Rodimus and Galvatron being consistently shown to be at eye level with Magnus. I also always felt it made more sense for Galvatron and Rodimus to be taller than Optimus and Megatron since there the newer, stronger leaders of each faction.

Lol glad it can attach, do you think the joints on Rodimus are tight enough to sustain it longterm?

Also can the handles rotate towards Rodimus so he can grab them over his shoulders?

Also is POTP Firedrive small enough to fit into the trays on the trailer?

If optimus nearly always gets a nemesis repaint then rodimus should always get a unicronus.

    Just makes sense.... No??? Yes???

Joking aside (or am I) this looks decent and I'm glad he's on preorder. I think the official release will have blast effects etc which will add to this guy.

I'm hoping to recreate two movie moments. One place studio series hot rod in front of him with the matrix so it looks like he's becoming rodimus and two rodimus picking up galvatron to throw him out of unicron.

As a marvel UK fan I'll also try to recreate the stand off between rodimus and galvatron in wanted galvatron dead or alive... Issue 120 of marvel UK

If that’s their preference then I see nothing wrong with it.

Don't man. Recreate the scene from the movie where he becomes rodimus.

Glad to be proven wrong on the few minor issues I had with Roddy here. His face is so much more livelier with proper lighting and indeed, it was just a cast shadow like I thought. The pipes on his arms don't hang off nearly as badly as it looked initially. And since they're apparently pop-off wheels there's no longer the issue of the rear tires not lining up with the trailer wheels.

Honestly, for all the things it does right (which are numerous) it surprises me that folks can't see the amount of innovation, detail and TLC they put into this figure and his trailer. No one should be able to walk away from this fig without saying it's the perfect (or nigh) representation of Rodimus Prime.

Is the cannon in the trailer just an homage to the g1 figure? ...or did it happen in some TF medium over the years?

Nuts. Can't just dremel the bottom out without destroying the front pair of cab wheels. :(

Man the main figure here looks incredibly good. I’m excited to get him and galvatron for sure.

Dont like the trailer, though. It may be g1 accurate, but it’s bland. Probably will be used and I’m sure I’ll get some enjoyment out of it, but it could have been so much better.

also considering the reports of effects parts melting plastic, I’m not sure it was a great idea to include an effects part drawer on this thing. I wonder what kind of long term effects it might have to leave the parts in it.

It’s a thing from the original toy of course, but I think the feature of it being removable and functioning as a mobile sentry turret is a new thing for Rodimus.

The trailer came off a few times in the cartoon, but it never opened up or had a cannon. It’s just from the original toy.

    Kinda a throwaway feature imo.

I think when you are ESSENTIALLY selling an $80 Voyager, fans would like to see some justification of the cost.
(...and I know it's NOT REALLY an $80 voyager.... but it still kind of is.)
oh yeah, I wasn't trying to say it "could" happen as it exists, I meant looking at it, it seems like there's enough obvious details to suggest that was the intent at some point during the design process (particularly given the recent trend towards being as "on model" as possible)
hence, everyone trying to figure out how it was "mistransformed" when we got those first pix.

Has the ongoing debate over all the wheels touching been resolved? Maybe I missed it?
