The position you are arguing is that it is not a standard expectation that a line would feature figures in scale to one another. That is the opposite of my position.

It’s true, my expectations did not come to fruition. Those expectations were shared by virtually every individual taking part in the conversation on this forum and elsewhere since the R.E.D. line was announced. To suggest otherwise is trolling.

There is no toy line that specifically announces the characters will be in scale. It is expected. No rational person can argue this position.

An out of scale toy line is fine, but unless it is explicitly defined as such from the outset, it defies all reasonable expectation.

So Where is the part of me saying “that most fans don't expect scaling? Maaaaaaan .....”

    Correct. That is my position.
So how in the world did you get “that most fans don't expect scaling? Maaaaaaan .....” from my above statement?

So then why don’t they scale?

You assumed they would because other lines out there did. But guess what? You assumed wrong.
You expected them to scale because another line scaled. Your expectations were false, and based on absolutely nothing that Hasbro stated, guaranteed, or promised.

So whose fault is it that you assumed wrong and falsely expected something from this line that didn’t happen?
Despite your anger at me, it’s not my fault. And it’s not Hasbro’s either.

I’m not assuming anything, there’s no other way to interpret your posts. There’s nothing in my post that your reply is in reference to that could even be tangentially regarded as an assumption.

Im not saying that at all, because apparently it is some standard expectation.

I’m saying that Hasbro never gave you a reason to expect it with this line.

And guess what? The figures don’t scale.

Did they come right out and say they wouldn’t scale? No, but If anything, there’s an implication that they wouldn’t scale.

So maybe next time you’ll know better than to jump the gun and assume.

Bro, I can't be mad at someone who is drowning in his own ridiculous argument. To say that consumers are wrong to have an expectation based on the precedent established by the other lines of product from a company is willfully ignorant at best. I mean, do you take every advertisement and piece of marketing this literally? My guess is you don't, and you know you've painted yourself into a corner on this, hence you're trying your best to defend the indefensible. In other words, you're trolling.
    ...
Not literally painted yourself into a corner. Please don't panic, it's just a figure of speech.

    Seriously?

Are you suddenly going to say that you never assume or expect figures to scale? Because that all you guys have been saying: that because some other line scales this one should too.

I definitely expected them to scale, I thought your reference to assumptions was in regards to how I interpreted your posts.

If it’s possible for you to never hold any expectations for something like a new Transformers line then I’m duly impressed, that’s remarkable. I guess the vast majority of collectors who also held these expectations are assholes.

so, are you saying that you were expecting them to be lying in their marketing? And now you’re butt hurt because they weren’t?

I have learned my lesson. I vow to never again expect anything, despite the reasonable standards gleaned from decades of toy collecting.

Are you saying they specifically suggested these figures would not scale? Omitting any reference to scaling cannot reasonably be interpreted as a lie in any possible way.

There’s nothing entitled about expecting what every other toy line in recent memory has done. It isn’t the end of the world, but we think it’s bizarre. You have taken this to another level for god knows what reason.

If you look at that page, their statements, objectives, sketches, and desired range of characters I truly believe that there is an implication at a uniformity of various aspects of these figures- including size.

This again makes no sense. They couldn't have lied, because they never mentioned scaling to begin with. That doesn't mean that fans don't have expectations based on previous product lines. This line missed the mark with most fans' expectations. Honestly, I have no dog in this race, because I never planned to pick it up anyway.

Then, with all due respect, as I mentioned before: we can agree to disagree. That is a reasonably subjective interpretation and I’d rather not continue going back and forth.

Me? And what do you think you guys have been doing for the last few pages? Getting mad and stuff. Saying I said things I never said.
I’m not the one keeping this going. You are. Want it to stop?
then cut the crap and knock it off.

And apply some preparation h while you are at it.

you look at other lines and expect something from this one. And is mad because it didn’t happen. I’d certainly call that entitlement.
