I couldn't say no whilst I actually had the money in hand. Sure it would have been nice to have Ravage too, but not for an extra $50 or so

I'm honestly surprised they haven't sold Ravage on his own, tbh. I'm certainly keeping an eye out, just in case.

 

When I sold my Soundwave I kept ravage and Laserbeak. They’re the best representations of those two!

In Amazon japan Ravage is sold individually but he’s around $25 which I think is too expensive.

 

Tbh I kinda think I’d rather spend the money on deluxe ravage than on this guy’s tiny ravage...

 

Soundwave:

Finally got mine! (shout out to ShowZStore for their relatively quick shipping!) Barely had time to mess around with him (one transformation from alt mode to bot mode), but man, I am already thoroughly impressed the figure's quality. Everything moves around smoothly and his joints are nice and sturdy. Plastic is solid, paint apps are great, and the sculpted detail is awesome. Even the eyes look really good and are bright red, which is perfect for me because I prefer painted to LED eyes.

I noticed the figure has additional "worn out/battle damage" paint apps in bot mode (arms, for arms and chest areas at least) that are not super apparent in the product photos as well. These look great as well and add an extra level of realism and depth to the figure. Also note worthy as some reviewers do not cover this, but the upper arms have a piece that can be pulled out to fill out his bicep more (see 18:55 ------>

).

Transformation takes a second to figure out in the legs, but everything seems to be pretty intuitive and you don't need to force anything. The tabs are like semi hard butter; they hold the figure together great, but come out when you want them to no problems.

Articulation is great and pretty cool too see in action in his leg area.

The chrome bits were initially a concern for me, but the way they are stored and placed on the figure not only looks really good, but nothing has to bump into them or move across them in a way that would damage the bits.

The ONLY issue I have with the figure is the brake calipers which should be stationary, but that's easily something that can be overlooked in light of how well they did everything else.

I would compare this guy to La-Hire in both transformation and quality. Maybe even a little bit higher in the paint apps department. Definitely (KO? ) MPM level. More than I would have liked to pay, but happy I pulled the trigger.

Ravage and Laser Beak:

I have never really cared for mini-figures with my transformers, but Ravage and Laser Beak do look really good and do a lot for non-transforming figures. Definitely miles better than the wolves we got with Black Mamba's (and other 4th party's) Peru Kill. That being said, given the choice, I would have purchased Soundwave without the mini-figures at a discount if I could have and don't think I'll be displaying them with him. So if anyone is interested in them, I'd be open to giving them away for free (minus the shipping) to a good home. PM me if you are interested.

I give it as 60/40 chance of it being good quality.

 

On one hand, BMB messes up ratchet joints. On the other hand, Mista is almost all friction joints. I think we're okay.

 

I am glad to have the original but it was too pricey.

 

This looks like a custom paint job with some small 3D printed parts on the chest according to the Facebook. Where did you hear BMB would be making a KO?

 

Checked it earlier and it said BMB KO coming soon. Seems like it's been edited out.

Personally, even if BMB did do a KO of Mista Soundwave with some tweaks to it, I don't think I would be interested. Like La Hire, Mista Soundwave is one of the figures I would rather have the original of even if getting the KO meant saving some money.
