Man that's some cold collecting... out of interest was it pretty much 100% resale market where you bought the FT stuff? I'm interested as we were fairly similar in timing, I think I started going all-in around late 2018. I think the most I paid for a figure was prob $700 but I don't really regret it, I love my collection and so do my kids but I do agree with the playability bit. I actually do let them play with the figures a bit, I just hold my breath the entire time!

For that reason I'm getting into the Diaclone Reboot line - looks like insane playability and "discovery" for my boys and me, from ages 5 to 41! But I'm also doing the same resale catch up/late tax.

I guess if you are in no hurry to sell just leave this post up and add to ebay then forget about it. Short of a reissue you're not going to lose value.

I came in even later than you did; I bought my first figure, CW Devastator, May of last year. I messed around with a couple of KOs before quickly realizing how poor quality they were, before really starting in earnest during the fall. I bought nearly all the early figures on eBay (paying some terrible markups on hard to find items), then started branching out from there. I also cycled through several copies of figures, attempting to upgrade in quality (for example, I have owned about 6 or 7 Stomps). But no regrets at all, I enjoyed collecting immensely, and still do to a certain extent. I do let my kids mess around with some of them too, and they’ve broken a few (I’m not reselling those, just so we’re clear!) but it just comes with the territory. I may look into those diaclone reboots!

Yeah, I am in no rush and it’s not a forced liquidation or anything. If they don’t sell and I have to keep them, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. I have also met some truly good and just plain interesting people via selling as well, which is always great. Thanks, and same to you!
