It\'s not terrible, not even perfect, first thing it\'s too tall, it should be a little bit smaller, second thing, why Bumblebee must always have an idiotic expression?

Hasbro should of made Bumblebee half the size of Megatron and Prime, and made this a 2 pack with Cliffjumper. I will buy one and hold aside until all or most of the minibots are made, and it will have its own area. Megatron and OP work well with Constructor and other MP scale combiners.

Yeah I may grab that R.E.D. Starscream (Just because I like Starscream), but I'm definitely going to take a pass on this R.E.D. line! I mean come on! This R.E.D. Bumblebee is hot garbage!

What's worse than the proportions and articulation of these figures are the people who are still trying to justify it. "Heyy tRanSfoRmErs nEvEr sCaLeD rIght". Yeah and they didn't make mainline Transformers that doesn't transform in the 80s either but now we have them. How things used to run 30+ years ago is not an excuse for modern day figures. Especially when being show accurate figures is the ENTIRE gimmick of this line.

I hope these people who give excuses in behalf of terrible products is enough to keep the sales afloat because I don't expect R.E.D to continue past another 1 or 2 waves unless they get their scrap together.

I hated the action masters. They had the jijoe leg to hip elastic metal connector, cept without the elastic I think cuz no torso rotation. Aside from the legs breaking, everyone being same size and not being able to transform was my biggest gripes.

Action Masters did have elastics. They often break or get worn out like in old GI Joe figures.

    Thank you

Isn\'t the R.E.D line about being accurate to the character design? If so, why does Cheetor have all those gold parts? Why is Bumblebee so tall? Why does Arcee have grey instead of black? I hope this line is canceled.

so far I only got Soundwave from this line (because favorite G1 villain) and was roundly disappointed, because the proportions were off and I had a devil of a time trying to get the gun in his hand. Months later I still kinda wish I'd taken it back, but c'est la vie.

I did pre-order Bumblebee -- to get free shipping for Walmart Exclusive Captain America (John Walker) -- and at least his proportions look better, even if he's waay too big for this line. I can always return it if disappointed again, I suppose. On the other hand he seems more playable than most G1 Bumblebee toys.

I think I'm most annoyed by the blast effects. the ones in package look very little like the ones in the product renders.

I still feel these figures aren't bad for $20 in today's toy market comparing to other figures you can get for the same price. But, the figures having useless ab crunches and some parts that come off with no real use and having slightly varied designs that don't quite fit in and designs from very different lines just tells me the line is being pulled in different directions and is probably an after thought for Hasbro.

Personally, I’m glad for their size. IMO the pursuit of TF scale is pointless anyway.
Besides, what’s the point of making a line of 6” figures if a figure isn’t gonna be 6”?

The problem with this line is it’s plastic.
I’d likely get this figure and others if they didn’t use such crap, rubbery plastic.

Instead I got the Furai kit. But this does look good.

Picked up the Arcee. Only one worth getting so far as I can see to put on the shelf. As it's not really feasible to have a fully working Arcee that can turn into a motorcycle and scale anyway. I've always liked her TFPrime design, and wish it were more of an inspiration for later iterations than the Floro Deary designs.

I admit, I’m stunned by this sentiment.

If the Star Wars Black Series figures of R2-D2, Yoda, Luke, Leia, Darth Vader, et al were all 6” would that make any sense?

What does 1 have to do with the other?
Black is a premium line, while this... isn’t, really.
But again... in a line of 6” figures why would you want a figure that wasn’t 6”? If the line had different size figures, then it wouldn’t be a 6” figure line.

Is the Furai line to scale?

What do you mean what does one have to do with the other? Star Wars Black Series is a 6” figure line and all characters are correctly scaled. I find it nonsensical to suggest all figures should be the same height regardless of the character and that view is very clearly in the majority.

Prices may have increased slightly recently but Black Series is a general retail line in the same range as R.E.D.. I don’t understand this thinking at all.

Furai is its own thing, it isn’t purported to be a stylistic representation of G1 animation. Honestly, invoking that line is less relevant than comparing R.E.D. to another 6” line in Black Series. Both Black Series and R.E.D. are meant to represent characters as they appear in a known popular medium.

    What’s to understand?
Black is premium. RED isn’t. No premium materials, no premium paint, so no real directive for scale accuracy- as if such a thing ever existed.

And I find it nonsensical to suggest that because an unrelated line may scale that this line is beholden to a scale that its media never adhered to.

This is nothing more than a line of cheap posable robots. That’s it.
And Furai doesn’t scale either. Where’s the outrage over it?

Do you realize how small Cheetor would have to be for accurate scale? Why would you want that? He wouldn’t be a figure- he’d be an accessory.

G1 cartoon scaling often varied but Bumblebee was never remotely close to being eye to eye with Optimus Prime.

Black Series, R.E.D., Ghostbusters Plasma and G.I. Joe Classified are all 6” figure lines produced by Hasbro that generally cost $20 each. Black Series sells the best by far and quality of materials has increased over the years. It has nothing to do with scaling character sizes.

I really don\'t like the fact that Bumblee is the same size as Soundwave and Starscream, he should be smaller

    1/ Doesn't transform.
    2/ No Actionmaster accessories.
    3/ Unwanted cr@pple-damage paint.
4/ Feet don't have even a passing resemblance to a VW bug.
    5/ Wrong scale.
6/ From a line of toys already associated with poor QC/design flaws.

This was the point I was making earlier. If the characters are not going to scale to one another within the line, then is the point of this line just to make a set of desk toys - where you just display your favorite character on its own somewhere?
