Thanks for your response! That makes me feel a lot better about it. After messing with it a bit last night I had similar experience with the triverse bullet cores fitting less snuggly. Just wanted to be sure I didn't get a misassembled one or something. It's hard not to be at least a little obsessive about your new $300 toy lol.
FYI, I’m using the following pieces to keep the command buggy in securely. While not the prettiest it gets the job done.
here’s how mine is currently set up. Definitely not the prettiest, but everything stores and that was the goal. I can even load bullet cores into most of the docking pieces on the left and have one hanging from the crane system without disrupting anything. I’ll probably end up taking things out (like the posts next to the computer) and make it look cleaner, but I was helping my GF move for a new job out of state and didn’t want to lose anything when I came up with this.
Love it! I’ve copied your computer/console set up and put the operating table thing in the trailer now!
God. Damn It. I want out if this line so badly and those look so vintage Diaclone it’s hurting me. $#&$/+/$(#)#!!!!!
I collect too many things. Diaclone is a stunningly hard line to maintain. Maybe the hardest I’ve collected in a 3 decade plus hobby. If you asked me what the best toyline in existence was I’d say “Diaclone Reboot.” At the same time it’s becoming victim of its own brilliance in my collection. I haven’t quit yet, every time I get close they hit me with something like these new suits. But I am not sure I can stick with it. DR doesn’t really like you dating other girls.
I agree, expecially after Gigantor joined the line. Too bad people can't cheat on a toyline...It would've been easier to be a collector.
It’s kind of expensive but honestly everything is. It’s just a beast to move around. I moved my modest collection from one set of shelves to another and it literally took me half a day. And oh man is it part-intensive. Which is the best thing about it but once you have a lot... You become the god and caretaker of a Diaclone city. It’s greatest strength, incredible detail morphs into a veritable occupation. Toy collecting is always a balance of time, money and space and I am at a point of committing further to Diaclone... or dropping it down significantly or all together to make room for others.
Does anyone have any experience with JUNGLE Special Collectors Shop? They've got a lot of rare items for fairly reasonable prices, but some of it almost seems too good to be true. Since they have some items listed multiple times I think they must be selling a lot of second-hand items as well? If anyone's bought from them I'd be very interested to hear your impressions. Thanks in advance.
Ya, I recently moved everything, not particularly easy. I do have a tool chest that I keep all the small parts in, so it could have been worse. But really, I had to move everything, so really it was just another box of stuff. much like my MMC and other expensive stuff, I just was extra careful with bubble wrap on these. Different than a lot of my mainline transformers stuff (which was just put in a box).
I’ve bought from them multiple times over the years. One of my favorite shops actually. Got a lot of good deals on TFs and Tokusatsu stuff from them. Haven’t bought anything from them since COVID hit and shipping options became limited though. The majority of their items are second hand. They have a simple grading system for the condition of each item, from new to used (sealed and open). There should be a guide to the grading linked somewhere on their front page. Also, much like Mandarake, they have several store locations across Japan, which accounts for multiple listings of the same item. You can see the color coded store locations attached to each item listing. Unlike Mandarake, they’ll let you combine orders from different stores into a single shipment. Or they did, not sure if that changed with COVID.
That's incredibly helpful, thank you. I was going to ask you some supplementary questions but I think you've covered everything. Shipping does look like it might be an issue but I'm going to give it a go and see what happens. From what you and the site seems to say Sealed is basically MISB so even if it's second-hand it's never actually been opened? (And good Primus their store looks like Heaven, I'd love to visit!)
