    hoo boy. Not today.

occasionally for shits and giggles I see if Pulse just puts one of these in back in stock for 575. That could happen right?

I could be really impatient and drive myself and the kids nuts :p

But won't have to, just got shipping notification, scheduled for arrival tomorrow :)

Well, BBTS says estimated tomorrow, FedEx says estimated Thursday.

They're creeping up in price, the last time they had them in they were $1,250.

Kind of surprised it's still in stock...The last few times they put it back up it sold out pretty quick.

I actually think that would have been a better scenario for me. I never expected Hasbro to help. I've been collecting official junk for long enough to know that unless the retailer is willing to look after you, you're out of luck. As a crowdfund, I was expecting zero support, and wouldn't have been surprised when they refused to offer any help.
I already have someone lined up on the boards here who had the opposite problem. We were working together to try and arrange a parts swap for the buyer, but the buyer wasn't interested. Had I opened the figure and found the problem, I could have arranged to swap the parts, fix it and then sold the figure on, intact.
When I sold it, I kind of expected to get more than I did for it, considering it was a limited edition figure, sold mint-in-selaed box. I don't think the final sale price would have been that much different if I had sold it opened.
In hindsight, I should have actually sold it on here or on the OzFromers boards. A member of this community would probably have been more understanding, they would have been open to working with a fellow collector to get the parts needed to fix it, and I wouldn't;t have had to deal with some $250 worth of fee's.
But it's over and done with now. At least I didn't lose money!!

It all comes down to cost I think. There's no value in Hasbro providing that level of support internationally because they don't sell directly here, its al;l done through retailers and 3rd parties.
Not true at all mate.
I emailed the buyer, multiple times, I emailed Hasbro International, I emailed Hasbro Pulse, I emailed Hasbro Australia and I emailed the Australian retailer EB games. None has responded still, close to a week later.
The buyer emailed Hasbro Pulse and received an email stating clearly and unequivocally that they did not provide international support and we had to demand a refund from the retailer.
I also reached out to the community here, found a collector with the opposite problem and offered to act as a liaison between that person and the buyer to arrange a parts swap.
The buyer wasn't interested, he just wanted to get a little money back in his pocket.

You have zero idea what actually happened here or what level of care and support I endeavoured to provide the buyer

just like i said you never even cared...lol

but seriously i said we dont really know what was going on. just like i dont really care anymore because you settle it all and it is done.

im sorry it happened to you to begin with but that is the luck of the draw sometimes.

hopefully you never have to deal with anything like that moving forward.

    i wish you the best.

my only concern about that kind of mount would be the long term stress on the panels.

we dont know if they can take that kind of weight for the long haul.

The shell panels themselves are probably fine. There's a strong lattice-work of supporting beams on the inside. Part of the reason there's no way this toy would be able to fold up like the over-hyped 3rd Party release is that his shell panels are like, 1/4" thick. Plus we're talking about dome mechanics here, which are extremely effective at distributing weight.
