Alright. Here's a render of the Machine Robo logo used in the 1982 - 1985 toys and other promo materials. Feel free to use 'em for photos.
I went to a local toy shop today and scored 5 of the 6 Puzzler Go-Bots for $10 a piece. All were in descent shape with just a few scuffs and a few loose joints. Now I just need to track down Zig Zag. My Go-Bots collection has increased a lot thanks to this particular shop. He gets in huge lots of 80's Transformers and asks high prices for them but any Go-Bots he gets in are priced anywhere from $4-$10. I've gotten somewhere between 30-40 Go-Bots from this shop in the last 6 months.
Fingers crossed for that...I kept passing on Loco when he was available...wish I hadn’t. I’d probably be interested in Spay-C as well.
Here's another logo of Machine Robo from the early days with this promotional logo look. Like always, feel free to use it.
He has a fairly complex transformation for his size. Quite impressive. Heat Seeker is one of my fave in that regard.
Ok peeps, here's a review of R-Jettan the original toy and wow,I didn't know this review was thorough...didn't think the box it came in was BIG! I mean big.
I suddenly got nostalgic for the GoBots cartoon. I know WB did the Warner Achieves treatment for the series, but I wish they did something with the "Battle of the Rock-Lords" movie, physical or just streaming.
LOL, I know how you feel. I have a 35mm print of the damned thing. All of the theatres went digital years ago and none of the format transfer places online will touch it due to copyright. But don't lose hope, surely one day RetroCon will run out of "better" movies for their retro movie screening and accept my offer...
It's no Transformers'86, but I do have some good memories watching the film as a boy from time to time. Besides, where else where you going to get Margot Kidder and Roddy McDowell as rocks?
If he ever got in a Doubledecker Bus Robo, Mini Cooper Robo, Apollo Robo, or Jumbo Jet Robo I'd be interested if he's only charging that price for them. Does the store have a website?
I think the likelihood of them getting Japanese exclusive Machine Robo figures that weren't released in the US is about slim to none. Everything in the store are toys released in the US.
