No. I had a spare inner Siege Magnus head but Megatron's head can't flip far back enough to pin it.

For the insignia-can you make something like Doubledealer had, with a hinge panel ? 1 side Autobot, other side Decepticon? If not, use a decepticon unless you can rig up the head swap. Speaking of which…

For the head- find a way to rig up a head swap! It looks killer as is, but the homage feels incomplete without it.
-headmasters might be a fun idea. Or do what the robotmasters line did, & rig up the heads in the shoulder cannon…

But, on the other hand, he's bright blue and a red symbol would look great.

Maybe you could get a little piece to clip onto his chest to put an autobot symbol on and have the decepticon symbol be on his actual chest?

 

Those rubsign/Shield Reveal insignias would be more fitting to the idea: Autobot outline to decepticon insignia inside when revealed.

For the head, you could use a Punch/Counterpunch style gimmick and put the Optimus face in the back of Megatron head, since it wouldn't be so visible if looking front. (Not sure if there is enough space to store the two-faced head properly, but still, giving an possible suggestion).

A costly option would be: Put the Decepticon insignia on this one, then get a second Megs figure, do the same custom and then you add the Optimus head and the Autobot insignia. This one would depend on your will (and your wallet), of course.

I second the idea of a dual head. I'm looking at the tfwiki and it seems like Reverse Convoy is his own robot, just possessed by Megatron. I thought he was Megatron postering as an Autobot, but I guess not. So in that case, I think it makes more sense to just use an Autobot sticker all the way.

 

Interesting to note that. In that case I think making the Megs head as a Headmaster and put the Optimus head as the default would make even more sense. Just needed to carve a hole to attach the headmaster on the "host body".

 

I say commission someone on here / Shapeways to make a head that does the swapping gimmick. I like it as it is but if you MUST put an insignia on him, I say Autobot since he stole the body from one.

 

perhaps for the head swapping if you can split the megatron head and an optimus head and glue them together back to back? then all you have to do is turn the head around. Not a perfect solution but would do the job

 

I saw a custom of this character(s) in which the customizer accomplished the swapping gimmick with two Titanmasters. The base figure was a TR Hardhead or Quake.
But you can add a TR connector to this one as well. If you don't have one, just use some hot glue.

I appreciate all the comments, ya'll gave me good input. My solution was to glue a piece of magnet on his chest to look like a rubsign. This works for me since the placement of the Con symbol on the original figure was near the collar and my custom is permanently using the Megatron head. It also appeases my need to have a bright red Autobot symbol on his chest (like the original in Convoy mode) when I feel like it.





There's no room to cut a hole for a Prime head to hide in. Also the head used for this mold can't rotate completely around for me to fuse a Prime face to the backside (a la Voldemort).

Regardless, I hope you all like it.

 

You could put a permanent Autobrand on his chest and a small Decepticon badge on his grey collar bone thing maybe. Really cool custom regardless.
