This tickles my fancy in just the right ways. Love it all around. That skids is particularly fabulous, and I love the lemony flavoured grapple.

I most of course ask if the plan is to have a full set of combiners by the end of this? There’s only smokescreen and tracks left for cars and I reckon you could do a Jetfire from one of the jet torso guys. Then that leaves the perfect amount for 4 autobot combiners.

But regardless, marvellous work thus far and all around. Really love to see some nice customs such as this. Superb.

Thanks! I'll admit I really struggled to find the right color for Grapple, most oranges were too orange and most yellows were too light, so that is actually a 'catapillar orange'...but I still find it 'too yellow'. Ah well...glad you like it!

I haven't counted to determine if 'all limbs will have a torso' when I'm done. That would be cool tho. As for each character (at least per my current plans)

Smokescreen: There was a CW version, so I'll use that
Jetfire: Going to use the X2Toys version...just seems to fit with TR Blaster who is from the same trilogy
    Tracks: in progress, reveal soon
Perceptor: he's going to be 'car-sized', nearly done, reveal soon

So I think I'll be short at least one torso...

AND, there's a possible deluxe sized Windcharger on the horizon, so I can do the 'Masquerade' concept as per "@shamanking282"

    Thanks so much!

Oooh, a perfect CW Masquerade combiner would be lovely.

X2Toys would work as Jetfire. But if you were going to fit it for CW sensibilities PotP Starscream would work pretty well probably.

The idea of a Perceptor sounds terribly fascinating. I await the results.

^^ Ask and you shall receive!

    PERCEPTOR IS HERE!

First and foremost, credit for the deco goes to "Minibot Gears" of Deviant Art. I LOVE the deco he proposed: Combiner Wars Perceptor by minibot-gears on DeviantArt

Step 1--remove paint. It's NOT as easy a it looks guys, that paint is realy well adhered. In terms of overall effort, this was actually the hardest part of the project as it required alcohol, sanding (2000-grit) and polish, lots and lots of time invested here, shockingly.

^^ This is the paint removed...very hard to get in the little grooves in the doors, arms, etc...but I think I got it pretty good.

Step 2-Enhance him with some accessories. So when designing the parts...I wanted something somewhere in-between the G1 and Classics. I knew there would be the shoulder cannon for bot mode, and truck mode. Then I started fiddling, and I was like "Why not a little microscope mode?". It took a lot of tweaks, a couple iterations....definitely some scraps on the cutting room floor, if you will...

But after enough attempts, I got something I as happy with.

Step 3, Assembly: Here are the parts, painted and ready for assembly (LOVE this part of the process)

And here are all the pictures!

    Thanks guys!

Hey, so good to see you here! Yeah I just loved your digibash, but you made a real painted version also? Looks great! I quite like the yellow stripe on the head, for more toy-accuracy I assume?

The scope is 3D printed...I designed it myself and after a couple redesigns it seems to work pretty well. In this case I finished and painted it so it's quite smooth (at least the red part is very smooth)

So Tracks is the final Season 2 Autobot I'm tackling (still hoping to return to Season 1 and do a Deluxe Windcharger) so I wanted to go out with a bang. Choosing the blue was tricky, in the end I decided on a darker blue much like the CHUG RTS version.

First things first...start with a Wheeljack mold and sand off all that lovely paint. "Oh how it pains me to do this"

After disassembly, I needed to get the parts ready for paint. Yep, I decided to show y'all the comically messy part of my process...plastic popsicles, before and after!

Having the chest-decal was a must-have. I made a custom design and printed out to find a decent match of the blue (thus allowing me to avoid cutting out the complex flame shapes!)

I needed a head, and luckily I was able to purchase it from Steam Shield (fantastic dude! LINK: Steam Shield's Bot Foundry by SteamShield - Shapeways Shops)

In parallel, I was printing up prototypes for the wings and cowl for bot mode. It did take a couple iterations to get right, but I didn't document that part of the project very well. Any way, you can see the wing parts and all the bits ready to assemble here...

Here he is next to MP Tracks:

Here he is next to his 'protoform' buddy

And with that, he was done! All 3 modes are possible with this guy...TBH I'm really, really happy with the result. I actually like the 'squat' proportions of this mold for this character. The vehicle mode isn't ideal, but it gets the job done...and in jet mode it works pretty well...

Given that the Optimus Maximus/Sky Reign guys seemed to shelfwarm relative to the Scramble City guys (and are still cheaper on the secondary market AFAICT)...

Glad to see the king tackling CW again. I still have a Groove adapter trailer inspired by your work on my project backburner. CW really was a great line conceptually, and later figs in the line showed hints of its real potential.

    Keep it up!
