If you're thinking of a Black Convoy based on the MP44 mold, that'd be MP49; for some oddball reason, Takara decided to give him his own number this time around (instead of MP44B, which would make more sense). But then again, Takara chose to designate both the new Thundercracker AND Skywarp as MP52+, which makes even less sense.
Ah ok. A KO MP-49 is what I'm referring to then. No news on that? Yeah, not much sense to Takara's numbering scheme lately.
I think it's: MP-52 => SS MP-52+ => TC MP-52+SW => SW But yeah, that doesn't make anymore sense either.
Well, went through the list of fixes and did most of them. Mine does transform a bit easier now, but the misalignment with the gas tanks is still pretty bad. Only one side can be tabbed in perfectly at a time. The cab can kind of be rocked left and right, which will untab the opposite side. Ah well, not going to complain for $100.
Venserlord above got his looking pretty good. It would suck if its barely holding to look like that and at risk of coming un tabbed if handled.
It stayed pretty good. I could move it around alright, but once or twice the one of the tabs on the side of the bed came off but clicked back in easy enough. I got pretty lucky over all. idk when but my right knee got kinda messed up. The little piece of plastic that keeps the bottom ratchet from happening before the top knee ratchet snapped. Now it does 2 clicks of the bottom ratchet before engaging the top one. Might try and get a replacement thigh/knee peice.
I didn’t think it possible but I may like the silver more. I wonder if I can get them both in the Fusion pose?
I wish you could order just the labels for OP since we don’t have a trailer yet if ever. Where does the grey shin vents come from other than MP 01 and 10? It’s not toon, toy, or comic accurate.
I wonder if you could use the set @The Happenin Rhinoceros created for TE-01? Check his sig for the link to his decals, maybe what you're looking for. I figured a direct MP-44 trailer is probably not coming so I got an extra KO MP-10 trailer from TF Safari for $60 which serves the purpose just fine.
Not sure, like I wrote, he made them for Transform Element TE-01, but maybe they can be applied on MP-44 and look good. I'm sure it might require cutting on some pieces, but I dont see why they couldn't be used.
I like the flat silver on the parts that were chromed. Put that on the white pants and I think you’ll get the perfect animation prime.
Imo, the reason that doesn't work is all the chrome parts are colored the same as the "white legs/waist". So is Prime supposed to have white pipes, tanks, grill, waist, and legs? Or was he drawn like that to emulate silver/chrome?
It was drawn like that the emulate chrome. If it was to emulate silver it would be grey like the stripes on his torso. But I think the white would look off in 3D in hand. I just like the white pants.
Loving this V2/3? Mold of the figure. Don't have the original so have no ability to compare. Reading the modification pdf, man, that's a lot of time to spend, Don't know if it's worth it when I'm leaving this guy in bot mode.
I do too. I like they way he looks in silver, chrome, and white. I really want to chrome all those parts and have a toon/toy look, I just dont know how to go about it yet. I'm not fully convinced with the chrome paints on the market or how well they'll hold up.
Oh ok, no because mp-10 trailer has two tabs and mp-44 trailer only one, but the back of mp-44 is lower than mp-10 so the trailer would be uneven if it fit straight on so I'm going to make an adapter that will let it fit and level it at the same time. So even though it doesn't fit, it's easy to make it fit right and I can still use it with my other primes as well.
