With smug certainty Shockwave believes the reins of Decepticon power will inevitably be his - after all, he reasons, it's only logical. Abilities: Among the Decepticons, Shockwave's power is second only to Megatron's. His total command of the electromagnetic spectrum allows him, in his ray-gun mode, to emit a coruscating beam of energy in a wide variety of forms: high-energy explosive gamma rays, x-rays that allow him to see through almost anything, blinding visible light, super-hot infrared rays and radio waves that can either send messages or jam other radio signals are but a few of the weapons in Shockwave's arsenal. Never having been adapted by the Ark to an Earthly form, Shockwave remains a size consistent with his robot mode when he transforms to a ray-gun, that is, more than 35 feet long. He can fly in either mode using powerful jet thrusters in his boots (which become the handle in his ray-gun mode). Weaknesses: Shockwave's wave-emission power, as well as his flying, is limited by his high fuel consumption. Although he uses the same type of liquid fuel as his fellow Transformers, he can also use radioactive fuels in the small nuclear reactor within his torso, which substantially eliminates his liquid fuel dependency problem. Although his logical brain center is usually an advantage, more intuitive and emotional thinking processes often confound him, particularly when his adversary is human. Imma go with Shockwave. Again, I like Deathsaurus and all, but I like Shockwave a hell of a lot better.
Have to go with Deathsaurus. From a pure stats perspective, Deathsaurus matches or outmatches Shockwave at every turn. Not only that, he's bigger, has 2 partners, and can breathe fire.
Unless Shockwave is secretly Star Saber or has a really good trick behind his back I'm not sure he is going to win this.
Eh two really over rated characters, Shockwave is all brains and logic, meant to be limited in his thinking but apparently logical thinking is just god mode, Deathsuarus is another emperor of evil, shockingly over done stats but a weird fondness for children... I'm going with Shockwave just if the next fight comes down to stats JG1 and there stupidly high numbers will walk over who ever else gets put up.
I'm still iffy about Shockwave being able to take down Grimlock one-on-one, so IMO he doesn't stand a chance against Deathsaurus. He's not Cliffjumper after all.
I think I'm going to be voting for Deathsaurus. While the Japanese characters often have slightly overinflated tech specs, this is one case where the monster stats are actually warranted. Deathsaurus is an absolute beast, both literally and metaphorically. Shockwave is a very skilled combatant, but his bio makes it pretty explicit that he is second in power to Megatron (his victory over him in Marvel, while awesome, was due more to the fact that Megatron was injured than anything else). Since Deathsaurus is at least as powerful as Megatron (probably more), and meets or exceeds Shockwave in every stat, I don't see a way for Shockwave to pull out a victory in this scenario.
Honestly, gonna go with Shocky. Even though from a stats perspective he's pretty outclassed, his weapon might be even more devastating than the fusion cannon, and knowing one-eye he probably would have multiple plans, schemes, and fallbacks to tilt the fight to his advantage.
