Astrotrain’s wasn’t based on anything we’d had previously, so if it’s something ‘towable’ like Astrotrain’s is then something like the GI Joe Whirlwind would be a possibility (could even be a Joe homage)

It could transform into armour and a hammer for him, as an easter egg to the Devastation game Tank Drones too.

 

So long as they're better than Soundwave's lousy cassettes I can live with it. I wish THEY were coming in Studio Series tbh.

 

Unfortunately the Octane is only speculation. No info on Goldbug at the moment, other than that he exists.

 

I hope Blaster comes with cassettes and Blizwings will be 86 film accurate

Did I miss something. I only recall rumors about Sideways, Hatchet and Que.

 

A few quick things:
Lambo Rod I'm 95% sure is happening at some point
Squeeks and Trench aren't Twins level of not happening, but pretty close.
Sideways, Hatchet, and Que are quite a bit out due to the reshuffling of waves to accommodate BB stuff and eventually new movie stuff. The earliest of em we will see is I think Sideswipe and Sideways are like, November-December of this year. Hatchet and Que might be 2023 at this point.
I'll check on a few things to be sure, but that's what I know for now.

 

What do you think about the others?

 

I think eventually we will see more Bay dinobots, but they're taking a backlog for the G1 crew. I don't forsee Infernocus, but also can't rule him out because I would definitely buy him.

 

Thanks very much. I've come to terms with the fact that any other AOE Dinobots are at least 2 or 3 years out if at all, it's just a shame that they led off the line so strongly with Grimlock in 2018 and have yet to follow up.

Sqweeks doesn't bother me, the TLK figure was pretty much perfect for the design and if they were to do a more in-scale version it would likely be a non-transforming pack in with someone else like Sam or Wheelie.

I guess patience will really be a virtue in the coming years!

 

Do you know why Sqweeks and Trench aren't happening? Seems like Trench would be an easy retool of Scrapmetal (with a new head and maybe chest). I'm assuming Sqweeks would be out of scale?

Do you have any idea if they've talked about doing a Canopy retool from Long Haul?

 

Trench is actually in this weird spot where his alt mode is closer to Scrapmetal but his robot mode is basically identical to Scrapper, with a little panel with the CAT logo slapped on his chest.

 

Yeah, Squeeks is great. More than worth the 8 dollars or so I paid for him on Amazon.

Also, I'm just happy the AOE Dinobots are even happening, cause at least one leaker here claimed that they weren't (along with most other AOE characters), owing to poor sales of AOE toys released in the first year of SS.

That reminds me. @wreckgar39, is there any chance of getting a new Crankcase release? The toy already basically exists via TLK Berserker, but the quality control is the fucking PITS. Worst QC I have ever seen on a transformer since I started collecting in 2014.

 

Hey so last year when @Notomus leaked some listings, there was a TBD SS Voyager and a TBD SS Deluxe. Is it possible those are releasing along with Sideswipe and Sweep?
