Well right now I'm in the unplanned additions part of the month because I've already settled on getting Titan Class Omega Supreme and Commander Class Sky Lynx. I'm looking into a few other figures that have caught my eye and I'm looking into 3 Generations Selects figures and I wonder if they are worth getting. Galactic Man Leader Class Shockwave-Saw this one at my local Gamestop if they have it when I go next week I may pick it up. I find I like this color scheme for Shockwave but I'm hesitant to get this one since I don't know if there may be a new Shockwave coming out in Kingdom or Studio Series 86. For the Price I see on this one it looks like a decent pick up. Transformers Generations Select Generation 2 Megatron I love the G2 Megatron Paint Scheme so I know this is a must have since I think this is my favorite repaint of Megatron and I have a nostalgic attachment to G2 Megatron because my first Gi Joe Comic was the one with G2 Megatron on the cover as part of the Gi Joe/G2 Crossover that's my all time fav Transformers Crossover Arc. Another Transformer that's gotten on my list to get is the Amazon Exclusive Galactic Odyssey Collection set that looks great and will probably be an excellent piece to go with Sky Lynx. I'm going out next week to check Ollies and hoping to find some decent deals on Transformers and I'm hoping I may find Transformers Leader Class Double Dealer on clearance, not sure what to think about this one but it looks pretty neat to me and if I can get it less than $25 I'd say that's a good deal. It feels good to me to have a slowly growing To Get List of figures to look into and with so many other great figures out there for Earthrise I sorta skipped most of Earthrise since I had sold off my Transformers Collection last year at the start of the pandemic -favored having Financial Stability during the year of 2020 over having a huge collection since that helped out a lot so now getting into Transformers more I find there are a lot of nice Deluxes out there in the Earthrise series. The Quint Judge is on and off my To Get List and I feel I may have to get 3 of these if I get 1. And lastly feels like Kingdom Ultra Magnus is on my list even though I have Siege Magnus the visual appeal of Kingdom Magnus looks great to me so I may end up squeezing that figure into this month's figure budget. I wonder what you folks think about these that I've selected to pick up if they are decent figures and I think I've heard that Double Dealer has some issues and a figure like that feels like it's best snagged on clearance. I have already selected Titan Class Scorponok for next month's primary pick up for the collection and the more I look at that Titan the more appealing he is. Still focused on budgeting things out and making it to where it's a few Transformers figures picked up every month just need to decide on which ones to get and with next month locking in a Titan for a primary objective for the collection that means some of the smaller figures may be added to that spending almost $200-$250 for Transformers in June. I am very tempted to pick up a few more figures this month but with Omega Supreme and Sky Lynx on the list to get plus having picked up 3 more I'm going back to quality over quantity with what's picked up. What about you folks got any new Transformers figure recommendations? What recently released figures are on your lists to get?
If you have to have someone else tell you what to buy, you don't really want it. If you don't care enough about any of them to make the choice yourself then just save your money.
Good Advice. Feels like these I'm on the fence about getting. So far TFW has helped with deciding on what to get with photos of the figures but there are a lot of nice figures out there I just can't decide fully if I want to get some of them.
We know pretty much every figure coming in Kingdom due to retailer listings (and a lot of what's coming after Kingdom from reputable leaks), and there's no word of a new Shockwave. Since G1 Shockwave doesn't have an Earth mode, I wouldn't expect a re-do of him anytime soon.
Feels like that's one figure that has had a few variations of him released lately so It's like as soon as I get one not like we'll get one in the Studio Series 86 line
Siege Shockwave is a solid bot...probably the only Shockwave I will ever own. Doubledealer is just a fun toy. He has a number of neat details and gimmicky features...like the chest cavity that can hold a cassette bot and that huge missile he hauls around. I recommend him if you find him for $20 at Ollie’s. The Quint Judge is a must-have for fans of the ‘86 movie. He has fun gimmicks and is a great representation of the character. be sure to check Toyhax. Some figures you may not want as is, could be a must get with some sticker detail added. I myself got 2 G2 Sideswipes. One gets G2 stickers and the other gets Batman stickers.
Netflix soundwave is must and don’t skimp on the cassettes either. I can’t under state how much nostalgia/fun they are. Seige soundwave with a futuristic alt mode is icing on the cake with the upcoming Galvatron...
I was really happy to find Kingdom Megatron on the shelf at Target last week. Can't go wrong with a purple T-Rex!
ER Optimus Prime and Double Dealer at Ollie’s for $20 each are a steal. The best CHUG figure of Optimus Prime thus far and the best Double Dealer.
I was impressed with the "Sandstorm" recolor of Earthrise Ramjet. Earthrise Spinout, Kingdom Megatron (core class), and SS86 Jazz have been great too.
