curious if anyone uses this cloud pc service and if it's worth the wait. Currently says if I subscribe I wouldn't be able to use it till December, but the idea that I could play my pc games anywhere without needing my pc to be on is very tempting. Curious about others experiences with the service

Wait. If you subscribe now, you can't use the service until December? Yeah, I'd pass

I kind of get the long lead time. Basically they build you a high end gaming pc for use on their cloud server, the long lead time right now is in part due to availbility of components, but they don't start charging you (beyond the first month "preorder") until you are actually able to make use of it.

I would never do something like that.

The whole point of a PC for me is right in the name, its a personal computer. I wanna build it the way i want to build it, and to suit all my perosnal needs.

Building and maintaining the PC is half the fun.

Ive brought my PC to friends houses before, its not that much work. Less work than bringing my kid lol

fair, but part of the idea behind this service is access. everything available anywhere without your own pc/server needing to always be on

I agree with Rapid_Fire. I’d rather own one over renting a cloud service. I would get a gaming laptop first. If you think you could game anywhere remember your performance depends on your wifi or cellular connection. If you think you could use cellular to play you will blow up your phone bill too.

Oh I've already got a decent pc, also have unlimited data, but also thinking more about playing when traveling (visiting family and using their wifi) and stuff like that

Even if you have unlimited you get throttled down to 3G after so long and that would hurt you experience too. If it’s for traveling I still wouldn’t invest. I still think a gaming laptop would be the better investment.

Buy a gaming laptop. Or if you travel that much and wanna take your PC with you, buy a Gaming NUC and make sure all the hotels you stay at let you change inputs on the room televisions.
