WOW. Is it safe to say that, with Slag, Scorponok, Hot Rod and Rodimus we have reached the peak of the mass market g1 toy representation? I think Scourge and Flywheels are pretty damn good as well. Prime is close, but the leftover buttfender and his slight undersizing to other leaders knocks him down a notch or two.

I would like to see a few more bells and whistles (paint apps, panel fillers, etc) even if it meant upping the price 3-5 dollars, but for the most part I can't see us getting any better in this price range.

Honestly I wouldn't even mind if they did a line of "premium" remolds/repaints for figures like ironhide, magnus, etc. Since those figures are very close I'd rather pay 50 dollars for a 30 dollar figure if it means getting exactly what I want then pay 10 dollars for a 20 dollar figure if it's only kinda sort of very close to what I want. I know thats crazy.

@ZacWilliam is likely correct, but I also wouldn't be surprised if some swords pop up in the next accessory pack - whenever that happens. In fact, I'd bet on it.

These dinobots make me wish I had more disposable income and a larger basement. I guess I\'ll have to stick with my voyager-scale KO POTP dinos for now.

It is hilarious that not only the listing for this figure was leaked and pictures ended up online, but there is a full video review of the figure BEFORE HasTak even announces it lol

On an engineering level this figure is so cleverly designed. There is a roof to the dino mouth that hides the robot head, the torso collapses inwards to thin out the dino mode, the faux robot toes on the back of dino mode fold into the hollow part of the tail in robot mode so they aren't visible, the only visible gaps are in the hind dino legs, and those legs fold into the robot legs perfectly. I know people in the first drunk leak thread were complaining about how some characters that got a figure in the Prime Wars trilogy were getting updates ahead of other characters but this figure answers why when compared to PotP Slug

This is without a doubt the quintessential figure of Slug. There is literally no way they can improve on this figure from an engineering standpoint without creating mass-shifting nanobot technology.

This looks great, can’t wait to get my hands on it. Keep them coming Has/Tak.
I’m still nervous that Sludge and Snarl will end up not being made but under Warden they really seem to be keeping to that whole ‘if you start a team, finish it’ vibe.

Just keep fingers crossed none of them end up being store exclusives. Or if there is one as an exclusive let it be Swoop so it’s no great loss if you can’t buy him.

Love the Slag!!!!!!!! "Booo" on doing another squatting figure without knees. [IMG] I don't recall Daniel squatting all that much in the movie.

There are Voyager scale KO POTP?!?! Hmmmm… That sounds awesome. I didn't like PotP dinos only because they were too small.

Edit: Just checked them out. They're pretty cool. I like how they each come with a sword and gun.

Hasbro won't do that here. The only exclusives would likely be SG or G2 sets.

I used to own all the Fans Toys Dibots. This figure transforms very differently and much better in my opinion. I'm buying all of these leader class Dinobots and I'm really hoping they are a preview to TT MP versions. I think these figures would make for excellent MPs. The extra budget would fill in any hollow areas and possibly compress the tail on the backpack a bit more.

Overall I think Slag has an excellent design. The chest and dino mouth transformation is genius. I also love how they handled the bot mode hand transformation. They managed to fold them into the arms without extra panels and no gaps. Well done! Bring on the preorders!

Dammit. They are going to do all the Dinobots properly, aren’t they. Going to have to start buying them. When it was “just” Grimlock I could resist, but this looks too good

Slag looks awesome, can’t wait to see Swoop as he’s my fav among the Dinobots. Wouldn’t mind getting a deluxe Slash later on with the dual knives at some point

Huh, that never dawned on me before! And it actually makes a lot of sense now - why give the Dinobots melee weapons when their alt-modes *are* melee weapons? (I mean, other than because it looks dope af!)

I imagine the writers room sounding like this:

"Okay, so in this scene Grimlock dives into battle with his sword..."

"Hold up! Why wouldn't Grimlock dive into battle as a kickass, metal T-Rex?"

Looks really good, especially next to Grimlock. Excited to see the rest! Probably gonna be my definitive set of Dinobots.

It is very important to me on a personal level that we also get Snarl: the best Dinobot.
