Only problem is I don't have the means to mass produce the design and sell it at a "retail" price to folks, so someone like DNA can easily come along and copy that design as well too. Oh well.

 

dude that is a bummer and one of the reasons i just hate BBTS. yes the shipping is a steal. but they never get anything in at a reasonable time and sometimes not at all. so it basically cancels out the benefit of cheap ship.

Got mine today and was a little sceptical from some of the feedback I've been reading but the gun and shield really beef up Scorponok. I didn't switch the legs over as the plastic was enough of a different green colour to annoy me when you add the original leg parts to it. I don't mind the visor or the eye piece either.

The only downside is he's even more difficult to get into a detolf than before

Excuse the dust and random mmc assaultus bits   couldn't really get a real pose and the depth is deceptive - the shield almost touches the door when it's closed but it doesn't look too bad. The upgrades are decent, not quite the same shade of green though. The additional leg bits on the sides don't bug me as much as when I first saw them on photos.

Yeah, my Scorp is crammed into the detolf.
I really wish someone would come along and USKO him. Incorporate these add-on parts while they are at it.

 

Looks like the plan was there all along for the rifle to be reused for TR/LG Fortress Maximus, even on the prototype pics. DNA is now going to make blue and red versions of the Scorponok rifle for the Fortress Maximum mold figures.

 

I wish someone would make his dual-barrel blaster, finally. I'm using Cog in an alternate transformation to pull that off, but it feels off. A proper gun would do. I already bought the other 3rd party gun (and sword) so I won't be buying a repaint of this.

 

Why are comments disabled for this (new guns for Fort Max), yet there\'s a \"discussion\" link included (to enable comments)?

 

I thought about pre-ordering the blue version from BBTS, but the way they're getting their shipments in lately, I don't think I want to wait 4 years for it to come. LOL

I am surprised it took this long for someone to make this... Then again I am mostly fine just using parts of Cog for his guns.

 

I got a good deal on a second set of Scorponok add on kits using my points at TCP. I'll be using this set once I get it and paint it to be the add on set for Black Zarak. =) Love this kit!

I took a junker G1 dual blaster, mounted an extra gun handle underneath and painted it all to match. No regrets.
