I think that is the larger version. It's labeled CT-Chiyou-04. You can compare to full size Firmament (CT-Chiyou-03) and to Legends Firmament (CY-Mini-01).

Oh, and check out the hand articulation to the lion, they aren't articulating the hands in the Legends Firmament.

 

Solid observations!

I guess I got a little carried away in all my excitement with seeing this guy for the first time... in the Cang Toys mini thread, no less.

 

Why does he have a horn on his lion head? I think they got carried away with the design...

 

Those aren’t horns, they’re braids of hair! And this design is all about getting carried away.  

 

Looking at the differences between the two Divebombs - I’m hoping the Razorclaw in the legends scale is a bit more streamlined in design.

 

Don't count on it... probably opposite, where some parts are more bulky or off-proportion, owing to the number of pieces. Take a look at mini-Firmament's wings, which seem a lot bigger and clunky compared to the MP version.

 

i dont really know what i am at here. is this bot combined with the "monkey suit" like they have been talking about or is it just that damn bulky.

i feel like it is combined because it has those random forearm claws. i dont see any real reason for them other than he is wearing the ape.

but who really knows and if this set does have 6 bots like the MP version. i dont feel like it is that hot after all.

 

Maybe it's because i expected something more like Ferocious with hair, but i don't like that design. Those giant cannons are surely disappointing to me, but also the lion looks too... How can i say that? Bulky? Well, he doesn't communicate strength or agility.

Also, his face doesn't look like a lion at all.

I hope he's gonna look better irl, maybe it depends by this pic.

 

Wow! This is very cool, especially beast mode, but stylistically it might just be too different from any other legends scale figs to fit anywhere in my collection... like, even my IF figs might look kinda plain and blocky next to this...

Agreed. This is why I’m hoping the legends scale version is a slightly cleaner design - just like their legends Divebomb.

 

Considering the big one looks like an exotic shorthair who played tag with a steamroller, i really hope the Legends one will look like a real cat.

 

As long as it doesn't look g1-ish. I hate g1 designs.

 

Looks like a cross between Zoids and Gundam.

 

I think we're gonna get something like this in the end... Just more proportioned, and with a monkey face where the D should be.

Man, this looks insanely good! I really can't wait to see all the others. And I really hope they don't jump the price to some crazy level--getting this first one for $28+ is such a deal. Even if the future ones are more, hopefully it's not much more.

Still, as I've said before, worst case I can own this guy as a stand-alone and be happy. But really hoping to get the whole set. Dying to see him in full color!

 

Definitely looks crisper in black. Do we have a release date?
