I adopted @deruberhanyok 's Drill Robo and Battle Robo. Now to figure out how to transform them after I finish having fun posing them.
His Mixer Robo should be arriving tomorrow for me. I just went to check the Machine Robo on TFSource, and they increased the price on Drill Robo from 50 to 70, and Mixer Robo from 55 to 65, so he actually hooked us up pretty well. Thank you @deruberhanyok !
Reading down through the comments, I see a lot of wishes for Gobot characters; bear in mind, while it'd be great if they could produce the entire gamut of characters, Action Toys only have a license to produce characters from the Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos series, which has a limited number of characters to choose from compared to the entire Machine Robo series and toyline. That said, Harrier Robo (Royal-T) featured in RoC, and I'd love a figure of him in this line. Like others have pointed out, Supercar Robo (Turbo) and a few other protos have been shown over the years, and Buggy Robo just appeared out of nowhere with no previous revelation AFAIK, so hopefully there are still more surprises to come and Action Toys continue to put a new fig out here and there. I've enjoyed the line thus far, and want to see it continue.
They also showed a grey prototype of Res-Q. Buggyman showed up out of nowhere without any previous announcement or prototype shown. I have to believe there are others unannounced that are ready to drop whenever they decide to stop torturing us with their lack of communication.
I've got these guys incoming from the slow boat from Hong Kong. Decided to accelerate my purchases on MRR stuff since it's primed to start pushing higher very soon as affordable product dries up.
Got Mixer Robo yesterday! Just realized I added seven figures in 2021 (MRDX-01 Bike Robo not pictured). Guess I'm all in on this line now, no turning back. Think I'm only missing Blackbird Robo and Missile Tank Robo.
Nice! I always meant to track down that set. I’ve got the stealth robo set (purple one) and the Blue Jet set. A very kind soul on toyboxdx sold them to me super cheap years ago.
Yeah, I have purple Fitor and blue Coptor basically...so this will be my third set. I had some of the knockoffs from Big Lots but I don't know if they're binned or sold off at this point. Anyhow, it's nicer to have the originals.
Nice! I'm currently trying to transform Battle Robo and Drill Robo without looking at the instructions (I like trying to transform something as sort of a puzzle). So far no joy, but it is fun folding things around trying to figure it out.
Be very careful with Drill Robo. The brown plastic that Bandai used is rather fragile. Back in the day I received a new one that was broken in the box (desintegrated shoulder).
So each CG Robo has a lovely gimmick (if the battery is not dead and the electronics aren't either): If you press on the spot indicated in the instructions, their lights will flash and they'll make a sound (siren, engine sound). If the battery is dead, it's a coin cell and you can replace it, but the electronics are hard to access (you have to take apart the toy) and rather badly made...
