Binging the few episodes of "Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime: Diaries" - nice SoL moments...Rimuru definitely needs to include Treyni more often

Then watching Ikkitousen, missing Ryofu & Kan'u since they're having a collab right now & I have an ecchi itch that's not being made this season.

Is it any good? I saw some CR ads on it and it looks absurd and badass. But also probably pretty dumb.

I can't say for the later seasons, but I watched the original, and it was one of the worst shows I'd ever seen. One of those series that only exists for the T&A, and somehow, it even manages to make that boring.

Might make for a more interesting watch if you're passably familiar with the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but for laymen, the characters just endlessly prattle on about destiny and junk with no heed for actual characterization, while simultaneously finding it impossible to keep their clothes intact for more than 10 seconds. Oh, and there's "martial arts" involved, with some of the worst fight choreography I've ever seen committed to animation.

Yeah sounds pretty bad lol. I do like the idea on the surface. Just wish it was committed with more earnestness and quality.

You hit the nail on the head lol. It's best to just watch it for what it is; an ecchi anime
It's also been like 5 or more years since I've watched it, I do remember how damn annoying the FMC? Hakafu was though, but there's seriously really nothing going on this season, so why not.
I usually just try and watch anything that's mildly entertaining because it's new, but I think there's only 4 or 5 shows that have kept me hooked, which is really not that difficult to do for me :lolol

Let's see. Dropped "too sick to call this love" because it's creep-central, the comedy part dropped the last two episodes, so I'm out.

    I shaved...
    Full Dive
Romcom where the Childhood Friend wins
    Combatants will be Dispatched
    Dynazenon
    I've Been Killing Slimes

Just gonna binge Zombieland Saga:Revenge (realized I haven't finished the 1st season yet), ViVy (first episode seemed interesting), Iruma s2, 86 & Those Snow White Notes because I found them ok, just not watch every week ok

Suppose this is a decent way to start talking about what I'm watching.

I started Darling in the Franxx the other night on a bit of a whim, while I'm aware of the reception it garnered (mainly regarding that ending, which I'm fully aware of) I really like the themes it presents in its story and character motivations, and thanks to a video I watched on those themes over the course of the series after innitially dismissing the series I wanted to finally give it a proper chance.

It's funny, it's always reminded me of the Aquarion series in concept, another mech show where "co-piloting" is used as a metaphor for sex to tell a story of romance, love, and growing up, the concept is a lot more on the nose here granted, though it especially reminds me a lot of Aquarion Evol which also used the core concept of a gender segregated cast system trained in groups for male+female union in a militaristic boarding school setting, but while in Evol our groups of teens are gifted humans who were recruited for their psychic powers to fight invading aliens, but otherwise do have complete freedom that any youth would have, Darling is a much more controlled and isolated setting in a very different world environment, the values placed upon the cast are especially more archaic and conservative, and I especially like what that sets up for the main cast as they'll need to learn to be independant and gradually find their place in the world. (And hopefully not spend half the series with one of the main characters falling into a depressive state from the main guy not being into her. Already seeing some shades of that with Ichigo but I like how they're being a bit more direct with it being presented early on that they just aren't compatible, plus unlike Evol there's a different character who does clearly care about her)

So you know, lot of parralels to be made here, though at the same time they're vastly different in terms of execution even if the concepts are similar at a glance. But really, if I end up liking the Franxx cast nearly as much as I did the Evol cast (which made every single episode a joy to watch, even if there were some very questionable decisions made regarding that one character, and this is speaking mostly of the cast as a whole, I didn't actually like the two main characters all that much so Darling's already beating it there) I know I'm already going to love this.

Also, I'm watching the dub and I can already tell they had a lot of fun writing all these double entendres. The script is absolutely filled with them :lol . Really helps get across the idea that this is a drama of awkward teens discovering themselves even more.

Now I'm not sure if it'll be able to surpass the story beats of Evol, because that did have some very strong story beats, but hey I'm already looking forward to seeing where the ride goes for myself, even if I do have the foresight of knowing where it's ultimately going, I do want to see how it develops to get there. (Also you know, I managed to enjoy Valvrave and that was also a bit of a mess, already seems much, much better than that end goal wise, so should be fine.)

I am watching "A Place Further Than the Universe" and "Yuru Camp". I also just finished "out Love has Always Been 10cm Apart" last night. All three were and are fantastic.

Started watching Emma: A Victorian Romance. It has a pretty chill atmosphere, somehow maintaining it even during moments of potential drama. I don’t have strong feelings on the romance itself right now, but I am only 6 episodes in.

This is a show whose dub was done via Kickstarter by Nozomi, and it’s got a really neat cast. Lots of NY talent you don’t get see to see as much of nowadays like Ted Lewis and Wayne Grayson. On top of that, even LittleKuriboh is part of the cast.

Not to get everyone's hopes up, but rumors circulating around saying Overlord is getting a 4th season and a movie. I say don't get your hopes up because I have only seen tweets about it without citing a source and nothing is reported yet in anime news sites (ANN, CR, MAL).

I was watching Senki Zesshou Symphogear last night and it takes me much longer to watch an episode than normal. I always want to listen to the songs multiple times.

Reached the point of the Romcom in Which the Childhood Friend Won't Lose! that I last read the manga/novel
where I still think that Kuro is lying about her amnesia and is crazy manipulative to the point that I rather have Momo take the lead as main fmc, but I still prefer Shiro the most
& the rest of the sisters are introduced.

I tried watching Reincarnated as a Slime but had to give it up. I couldn’t watch it.

Rewatching How Heavy are your Dumbbells again and it’s just sooo good. It’s a series I could just watch continuously. Would love a second season.
