You'll have to ask someone who owns them. Which, sadly, isn't me.

Whoah! This is even a thing???

So jealous of those collectors who are so good at dreaming up these wicked fan-modes - I wouldn't even think of trying if I didn't have instruction manuals to guide me through it

I have both figures (well, G2 Dreadwing and Smokescreen to go with Armada Megs), but they're in storage and would be hard to get to.

Can't imagine it would be very solid from what I know of them, and I'd need to experiment to work out how to put them together, but it'd be nice to try it one day.

It's official. Dreadwind was even retooled to make it possible, apparently.

In which case, sadly, you can't make it happen without the RID versions. >~<

The difference being that he's a redeco, where Dreadwing and Smokejumper are two entirely new molds. He's a lot less of an investment for the company comparatively, and there's still a chance for a decent profit.

It's pretty obscure, showed up in a pre-funpub collectors club magazine and nowhere else.

You do realize those molds would be easily repainted into G2 colors, which many people would absolutely buy. As well as all the other repaints that exist, including BWII repaints.

I recognize that, but 1. I don't think Fans Hobby is going to do any more G2 after Gunfighter sold poorly and 2. I was thinking in context of the RID versions we were discussing, thinking along the line of Fans Hobby making them specifically for this reason. I also still don't think it would be a very profitable thing for them to do as most people collect for characters they like and those two molds only actually appeared in BW2. I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see it done, I would, I just don't think it would be a very good move.

There's no way this is compatible with a future Tidal Wave release, right? I don't think the main turret can even swivel around the waist and point the cannon forward.

    You sir would be,

    misinformed.

Now whether or not FH does a Tidal Wave that combines or just a really big Constructor sized Tidal Wave if this guy does well is still up for debate.

I think Tidal Wave will combine. Theres no reason FansHobby would omit it, Tidal Wave is a very solid design that one could easily ignore the feature even in the original if you didnt like it

I want a jetfire, Overload, tidal wave, and unicron ;)

    And some minicon packs.

They should start doing minicon packs after prime and megatron are both launched. I think a FH Armada Star Saber / dark saber would be amazing.

And honestly I'd buy other MP scaled Armada characters. Some of those designs (like Scavenger) still stand out to me as very cool.

Nice, I must have missed this shot in the promo pics floating around. I'm really hoping they give us a proper Tidal Wave, but if not at least he can pull off this configuration and it wouldn't be hard to make the armor myself.

I just want a titan-sized Tidal Wave personally.

Then again a Tidal Wave that combines with Megatron would probably be much cheaper. Since it would be much smaller and Tidal Waves combination isn't exactly the most complex thing in the world.

Tidal Wave's combination with Megatron depended on 1) very sturdy elbow joints, which I have never seen replicated elsewhere so successfully, 2) Megatron having very limited leg articulation.

Once you make a posable Megatron, combining with a larger Tidal Wave figure is not really an option.

Has it been stated somewhere that Fans Hobby will be doing a Tidal wave figure? I’m all for it depending how well built Megatron will be to support the combined mode. But I could see him in their Overlord scale.

It's mostly wishful thinking since Jetfire and Overload are next for Armada Autobots over characters like Hot Shot and Red Alert since they combine with Prime.

In terms of Armada Decepticons I'd honestly be shocked if they did Tidal Wave next over say Starscream or Demolisher (please Demolisher).

Extrapolating from that we can assume that they'll also be doing Energon Wing Saber and Omega Supreme to go with their take on Energon Optimus and, if we assume that they intend to do a Cybertron Optimus as well (which, given that they've done/are doing Armada and Energon Optimus, is a safe bet), we can also assume they'll be doing Leobreaker and Cybertron Wing Saber.
