Perceptor is just going to be repackaged Titan Returns Percetor in a new box, just like the Walmart Exclusive Headmasters.

Kind of wonder if they needed some distance from WFC Siege so it wouldn’t hurt sales on that line. Now that it’s been a few years they can release them. They picked a lot of G1 faithful characters.

The original Perceptor isn’t Chug but he is still one of the best original Transformers figures.

 

really? a studio version of brawn and ratchet??? how about you give me the a 86 version of brawn and ratchet!!!   i mean come on brawn's death was spectacular. and i want ratchet in earth mode. i like iron hide as cyber mode but i rather have ratchet in earth mode. without having to buy lifeline. 86 perceptor better be a better version than titans return.  

 

give brawns his big gun, and i am all good with him(maybe have it to where his head can look to the side and not be blocked as well)

 

He was cool, I hope they make a Daytrader figure soon.

 

if it ends up being an exclusive I wouldn’t rule it out. Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up being a retool of the Titans figure (drop the Headmasters gimmick and maybe more animation inspired deco).

Part of me highly doubts king Starscream is just straight up going to be the earth rise mold considering all the studio series 86 figures are brand new figures so I\'m expecting the Starscream to be at least retooled

 

The only issue I had with my Dino was what to do with my Alien Attack Firage once I got the SS version.

 

Fair enough, blueish purple in movie before he become insane and purple.

The "retooling" on SS86 Starscream is going to the coronation accessories. It's the same kind of "retooling" as Shattered Glass Megatron, least that's what the leakers have been saying

 

So I was going to get Coronation Starscream from the RED series for my son so he could have one. Now I think I will wait and get him the SS86 Coronation Starscream. I haven't even seen it yet, but I know it will be better. I am so glad they posted this news for us. Thanks!

 

i mean we’ve gotten like 6 toys so far. It’s only been one wave so far and we’ve yet to see anything new outside the first release. Studio series also isn’t shy from using older figures from other lines. Cogman, nitro zeuss(twice) the dreds. All came from previous movie lines. Some retooling but most being repaints to be a different character.

what are you expecting to be retooled? A waist? wrists? If they coulda done those from the start we would have gotten them but hasbro explained why the mold didn’t have those. Wasnt budget it was due to the mold itself and stability

 

Finally, I can get the Cybertron guys! Hopefully we see Arcee and she isn't like dead or anything. Maybe they'll do some flashbacks to Cybertron so we can get those designs as well.

Perceptor too, I had a feeling he'd get a figure here soon.

Overall can't wait to see this stuff.

 

I just noticed Brawn is looking more like RamMan from He-Man now. I still think the Juggernaut is the best way to go for a live movie representation of Brawn. I really dig this Bumblebee style of him.

 

Yeah gonna hold off on getting excited for a microscope Percy until I see pics of his face. Blurr and Kup were just incredible let downs in that regard don't want to get my hopes up.

As for everything else kind of curious about Junkheap and Wheeljack. Mildly curious what Brawn will look like, but in general just not really interested in the movie aesthetic anymore. More G1 influenced or not I'm ready for something different after what 6-7 movies.

 

TR had the working microscope gimmick at deluxe budget so a new one should be able to pull it off too

 

If releasing a range of figures for characters who didn't even have an alt mode isn't "pandering" to the G1 audience then I don't know what is. People can outraged and defensive all they want to this comment, but at this point it's difficult to argue that at this point Transformers isn't G1 at this point.

It's frustrating, because this franchise has become so stagnant that it hasn't bored me out of the fandom. What good is there in alienating the Bay fans? I'm happy for the G1 fans, but let's not forget that G1 is in Cyberverse, Kingdom, SS86 and now the other half of SS. It would not surprise me if we barely get any MPM at this point, and I'd really love an MP Lockdown.

With the upcoming price rise there is little chance that I'll get back into this franchise, and if the next films and TV series have G1 influence as well then I'll be out completely with my only purchase being Armada Optimus if that ever gets released which I doubt because that Optimus has nothing to do with G1.
