Some of those listings are almost tempting, until you add in the shipping. Yikes! It looks like a nice display piece, but for $120++ it is a little too rich for my blood.
Ya, it really has absolutely no use unless you have a private pool at home, that's it. (if in the US). Make no mistake, you will get shot playing with this in public.
as a Spaniard-Mexican American in a rough neighborhood, I can fully say this thing would mean suicide if I owned it.
Just keep it MiSB. And display it in your bedroom, window side flipped if you get visitors. (Not putting light on your neighborhood situation btw).
Which quote? "Wanna bet?" "I am now the most powerful being in existence!" (Holding the antimatter gun) You gonna be asking for a Megatron azz kickin'! Now, if you quote Soundwave's "Prepare for oblivion..........."
Haha I think a lot of people are thinking that right now regarding owning this toy squirt gun that's a really nice representation of Megs...no matter what nationality and neighborhood you're in these days...
I haven't put water in mine, but someone else did and said it shot about 15 feet. The plastic is so so. Not cheap or delicate by any means, but not as thick and meaty as like a Super Soaker from back in the day.
You want one for a watered down price? Sorry, couldn't help myself. Didn't mean to rain on your parade.
No, that's funny. Not watered down exactly, just not retaining too much water. Like everyone else, is a great display piece... Also works for costuming Star Wars style weapons
If I bought one, I'd want it to feel heavier than a light plastic water gun. Anyone that knows anything about chemicals know of a liquid that could be poured into it that would then permanently harden, giving it some heft, without breaking it?
Do you need a private pool to play with water pistols?? My kids squirt them in the bath, (pool-less) garden or just in the house! They sure as hell ain't playing with Megatron though! Assuming it opens with screws, why not just open it up and stick some little metal weights in it, or fill it with blue tack or whatever? That way you don't destroy it. If it don't open then... molten lead ought to do the trick.
There's epoxy with added weights (buck shot/lead fish line weights, BBs, etc) it'll not only add weight, but make it feel solid, because it will be. You just need to make sure all the seams are sealed and you would need to do it it stages as it gets chemically warm. I plan on getting one and I'll look it over before I decide to add weight. Like the previous comment, if it can be disassembled, you can adhere weights inside and preserve the figure.
