Caved in and got SkyLynx. Like they dont seem to be ever going on sale and Smyths only had 1 in stock. So after walking past it for weeks I caved. It's a big boy and a good toy... But I think this is the limit on the size of toys I'll be buying for a long time Maybe Commander Class Roddie but thats it smaller toys only from there on I just cant justify the space they consume.

There is (well, it's a reasonable assumption Wreck-gar is coming first), along with the Sweep, which I'm interested to see how they'll differentiate that from Scourge.

To be fair, T6 and 86 won't jump out as different on screen, especially if you're used to seeing the latter all over the place.

Also, the other 5 films were all acronyms, and Bumblebee, well, isn't. So again you can give your brain a pass, I think :)

Core class continues into 2022 whether that includes minicons I don't know.

I'm hesitant to say as based off box art renders and may change on the actual figure (product and colours may vary etc...)

Only seen grey proto of Wreckgar, can't tell from that sorry.

More excited about finally recieving the shipping confirmation on Unicron tbh. Mid May is not quite the Q1 2021 I was anticipating.

I'll probably be going back on either Saturday or next Tuesday, so if I do, I'll give a heads up the night before in case you (or anyone else) still needs them.
They only had one Seeker listed as in stock, and nothing else, so it's a bit luck of the draw as to what I might find.

Working from home today, no bank holiday fun for me. Although in true British style it is peeing down on BH Monday, so probably not missing much!
Deskbot(s) today is Soundwave and team.

    20210503_125605.jpg

Have also pulled out some of the older crew - United R&F plus Henkei Ravage, as the new guys are just a little too small in bot mode for my liking. Aesthetically I think the old guard still in fit in nicely with 'FlixWave

    20210503_125752.jpg

Just begs the question - Buzzsaw, when?

2022....... fuck wishing life away that quick. Looks like Perceptor & Wreck-gar and skip the rest.

But flogging Starscream in a Leader slot instead of using it for a Dinobot.........? No. Dick move HASBRO, dick move.

Possible Studio Series '86 Perceptor and Wreck-Gar/Junkion = Intresting!

    @barry,
Like a lot of directors he appears to have had a really hot streak then it tailed off so I've been going for the main ones first, then I'll be more picky....I know the "Escape From New York" sequel isn't meant to be great but I like the Snake Plissken character enough that I'll give it a go and I also want to see "Dark Star" for the alien that looks like a beach ball as that appeals to the classic Dr Who fan in me :D

I have completely ignored all movie-verse figures for the entirety of their existence. I did buy SS38 Optimus while I was on holiday in the US because of the all the positive buzz it was getting though.

But the 2022 leaks today coupled with the bayverse aesthetic being slowly phased out, and with a bit of FOMO precipitated me to do this today!

They are like gold dust, pretty sure someone will bite your hand off for it. Given they are handy for army building qualities in a Quint display, I reckon some will take this off your hands.

That is a very good question!

...what's the acronym for the 2007 film then? o_O

As for Bumblebee, well I've seen BB used in places, though I wonder if the listings for earlier Bayverse films used TF_ format as I can imagine toy listings may well have been determined long before titles were announced/finalised.

You picked some great ones to start on! As for movie-verse, I know the feeling. Until I got the Arcee Triplets pack on discount the only non BB movie-verse figs I had were original characters who's design appealed. I think Nitro was my first and I got Berserker at some point too and later Shadow Raider... not counting the Bayverse Prime I got solely for his orange weapons to give to Grimlock :lol

Further to cool old tf art, my computer’s approach to death means I’ve just picked up an iPad + pencil. First things first; copy a John stokes pic in Procreate:

    07.jpg

Copyin’s always a good learning exercise, and nice and relaxing.
Procreate plus the pencil is in some ways not 100% ‘there’ (palm rejection hasn’t been perfect for me) but although they’re all things you can do in photoshop, the intuitiveness with which they’ve instituted transform/auto shapes and other things is unnervingly revolutionary. Just another step forward in drawing aides, or the reduction of the human in mark making?
Also, the original panel feels a bit Ditko like - am I wrong?

Well I'm glad it's not entirely due to my inability to transform things properly.

What do you think of drawing with the iPad and pencil? I was thinking of getting an iPad and it does seem like it would be a great platform to draw with.

    BTW

Does anybody want anything from Smyths? They have all three of the sparkless mould in and it's not a big deal for me to go and grab stuff if people can't get it elsewhere.
