The shipping method was "Show.Z Large Package Method (SAL By Airline (The tracking may stop updating during transit) 25-60 business days to deliver)", which I assumed meant that it would avoid ships, but maybe "By Airline" really means "By Airline... for about a day, and then by boat for a month".

Based on what other folks have said about ISC on random Internet forums, it sounds like packages can sit there for arbitrary amounts of time, and just because a package is stuck there for a while doesn't even mean that they consider it suspicious/that anyone is doing something with it. It could be getting x-rayed and sniffed by dogs, or it could be sitting in a corner and just hanging out for a while. Sounds like it's kind of a black box - the general public knows when a package goes in and when it comes out, but no idea what's actually happening to it while it's inside.

Like I said, I just hope they don't think "Hmm, big box from China addressed to some random-ass guy? Seems suspicious, better rip it open and check out what's up".

(Though actually, all the ShowZ packages I've gotten have a local "from" address - I wonder if they ship all their packages addressed to an intermediary here, who then re-distributes it to local addresses via local carriers. I haven't taken note of the specific person they're from, I should note it next time.)

 

Definitely in for a set! The stock rings work well in robot mode, while the upgrade that elongates the wings work well in planet mode. Definitely interested in upgrading those stock rings with these wing tips. PMed!

Just bought this big bad mamma jamma off a board member, (With the addon kit coming via ebay). Beside the small spikes all over, are there any other things I should be careful of?

New wings definitely look better in person as the 3d of real life helps subdue the abrupt curvature to the outer wing ends. Still would have preferred another hinge but I can get past it.
Way more of a dramatic presence though, that cannot be denied and is also something that doesn't come across easily in photos.

 

I finally decided to go in on this figure and bought from Toy Dojo using a PayPal pay in 4 plan. $100 every 2 weeks until paid for won't be hard for me to absorb. My old G1 colored Armada mold just doesn't do it for me anymore and I don't care for the Haslab toy, so this will be my Unicron.

Since I am supposed to be getting a reissue from Toy Dojo, does anyone know if the transformation is any easier compared to the first production run? Things tab together for planet mode any easier?

Hey, DJofSYN. I'm fine with the old wings, but has anyone told you your phone is nearly dead?  7%!

 

I did a quick and dirty measurement with mine on display and it's about 9" horizontal diameter. I think mine is slightly mistransformed since the vertical diameter is 8", making it not quite a perfect sphere.

A) AND If you don't mind...

B) AND if you have the LARGER ring...

Could you measure the diameter from one side of the ring to the other?

I'm trying to find a way to display this UP, on a wall, without hanging it.
But I need to see how much clearance I need to put it where I want to.
