Feel free to correct me, but I believe ShowZ was originally bundling the individual bots to keep things simple, prior to the boxset release.

I'll correct you (although it's no big deal and no ill will meant, also meaningless lol), but I pre-ordered the box set a year ago, it was ready to ship sometime during the last 6 months but only shipped a couple months ago. Based on all that, I'm pretty sure the box set was available like 6 months ago but who knows if show z was also offering sets of the individual boxed figures. You may be right.

To be honest, since this is YM KOs, I wouldn't even necessarily say that the loose joints I had on my box set is consistent with all box sets. Future fixed the problem. Probably best if others with the box set chime in on with their feedback as well.

Posts #1005, 1007, 1025, and 1217 do a pretty good job of offering comparisons to Warbotron and Jinbao releases.

Does anyone know the height of the Hot Spot? I did light research and found around 6.7 inches but he looks much taller... Also does anyone have images of the individual robot modes compared to mainline WFC figures?

He's packed away so I can't get any pics but he's about 9.5 inches roughly at the head.

Working on leg extensions for this guy using legos. So far very stable, but needs ankle support. Ill give out instructions after a couple more tweaks and final product. Waiting for more lego parts. Hopefully my cousin can make a STL file for 3d printing.

How to make leg extensions. Enjoy beeotches

Hey, I just got the boxed set and it's looking good so far, but it's missing one of the no-slip pads on the bottoms of one of the combiner feet. Since I got it from a Chinese reseller, it would take forever to get a replacement, so I was thinking of just buying some kind of sticker from Amazon or whatever. Anybody got a good link for something like that?

Side note, nice collection. I have always thought of Hotspot as a really underrated/under-utilized character.

Can't wait to see how MMC and XTB (and hopefully, GT) turns out.

Got the box set and the arms werent as loose as I thought they would be. perhaps as they age theyll loosen more, but out of the box the elbow/forearm regions are holding firm.
the figure was a pain in the arse putting it together. a few bots shed some paint in the process. the windshield on groove keeps popping off and will need glued. the front bumper piece on first aid fell off too. whatever they glued it with, if it was glued, basically disintegrated and needs reglued or polished to tighten. holds okay with friction but will pop off when handled. other than those popping bits, some paint flakes and being a pain in the arse to put together. its okay

watch jinbao OS the OS KO now that I got it.

Ive watched some videos in the past. Transformations were easy enough to figure out.. it was just the two pieces popping off, tolerance and some fitting issues. tabs on hotspot probably could have used some sanding but i didnt do that. leg took force to move in...definately used delicate brute force in a few spots.. knees in blades and first aid are super tight, which i like, but made the leg fold a two step process.. crank the knees then legs.. getting streetwises arms to bend and fit was the worst.. kept feeling like i was going to break the arms pulling on the slides.

my frustration was probably amplified because it was past my bed time and i had to wake at 430 for work.. its not so annoying i wouldnt want to do it again.. but i got it for defensor and will never transform it again unless i sell it...

I put some Vasoline on the sliders in Streetwise's arms, so they're much easier to pull.

Got the boxed set last week, I really love the designs and actually really dig Groove his look was slways the worst of the protectorbots but maketoys gave him some unique coolness. Only issues I've come across was Blades and First aids hips were very loose so had the floor polish treatment seek ok now oh and I see what everyone means shout the sharp edges Yeow!!! Looking forward to getting them into Defensor mode but think I'll take my time as I reckon I'll get frustrated with some of the fit finish and tightness issues and don't want to break anything.

    I am struggling to find good places to put autobot decals on though, so many tiny little details, any recommendations guys? 20210930_222909.jpg 20210930_222925.jpg 20210930_223425.jpg 20210930_223447.jpg 20210930_223918.jpg 20210930_224003.jpg 20210930_224809.jpg 20210930_224817.jpg 20210930_224823.jpg 20210930_224959.jpg 20210930_225014.jpg 20210930_235056.jpg 20210930_235107.jpg 20210930_235114.jpg 20210930_235126.jpg 20210930_235135.jpg

Lazy to uncombine mine, but I remember using the small size faction symbols and pasted them in the center of their torsos, or slightly above or below, depending on where the empty space is.

Yes I had to use tiny ones too mainly central except Groove which I went on his left side of his gas tank curving roundabout bit
