I think there is a reason that Skywarp tends to be last of the original three. Because he has the best color scheme.
Truth. My Maketoys seekers are flying off to their new homes and I'm so hyped about these guys now but the one I keep coming to look at? Skywarp. He looks incredible. Like I never thought I'd see the day where my first ever Transformer would jump out of the screen in such a slavish way and in a weird twist of fate, if Fanstoys pull their fingers out of their arses and get Chomp out this year, this will be the last Decepticon I buy. It may even be my last Transformer if XTB get their Protectobots out before the year end. It's like my collecting life will have come full circle and Skywarp is the key.
That's explicitly the opposite of what was stated. "I will provide you with a new body, and new troops to command". Only Megatron got a new body. Cyclonus, Scourge, and the Sweeps are new troops.
Technically getting a new body, new alt mode and new voice is being a new troop. In the same vein that Megatron got a new body, new alt and new voice.
No, that's giving old troops new bodies. He could have easily have said "I will provide you and your troops with new bodies". Instead he specifies "new troops", and indeed their radically different personalities and loyalty to Unicron reflects this.
There never was a clear answer to this, but I'm with you on this. Galvatron remembers who he was before. Cyclonus, Scourge and the Sweeps don't seem to remember anything, so I believe that Unicron used the bodies of those fallen Decepticons to create new troops for Galvatron to command.
Cyclonus & scourge remember there former selves as they even mentioned this in a scene when talking about how megatron was so different from Galvatron .
I always took it that Thundercracker and Skywarp died (The Insecticons were suspect due to their cloning and downright shady nature). In the episode "Starscreams ghost" we see what amounts to Thundercrackers tombstone. Why build one for a guy that isn't dead? Not to mention the fact that Cyclonus and Scourge displayed no semblance of Skywarp or Thundercracker.
