Oh if you insist Your new background is really something special though! It's almost like a pop art riff on the horizontal scan lines on an analog TV...insanely appropriate!!
It’s interesting that you bring up the variety of facial expressions and you not seeing Season 3 yet. I haven’t thought about it before, but maybe her faces are taken from the movie and nowhere else. While I don’t 100% believe that because she has weapons from S3, it could be possible that Takara didn’t comb through all of S3. I wouldn’t blame them with “Carnage in C Minor.”
once my rewatch gets to Season 3 I’ll be on the look-out for screenshots of facial expressions for sure! Wasn’t sure if Arcee could pull off this pose as her outward leg articulation isn’t great, but sure enough she nailed it:
I’m so terrified of breaking her (she was my first MP but I absolutely adore her. And because I’m Idol trash, here’s Arcee playing idol for the humans. Ratchet and Wheeljack just want their tools back and don’t want involved in he foolishness.
Fortunately she's sturdier than she looks. Not that there aren't pieces you need to be careful with, but that's more in the transformation than the articulation.
I love your review and I’m glad you love her as much as I do! I’m confused about your wanting a “lower leg swivel” though. Do you mean below the knee? Because the upper thigh swivel above the knee works perfectly! Love all the great photos! She’s definitely a joy to pose and just gawk at!
thanks so much pal! I meant essentially an ankle rotation, in addition to the ankle flex and tilt. Some below the knee rotation (like MP-10 has, or MP-41 Dinobot). Would be cool, but not essential!
You've got nothing to worry about when it comes to build with Arcee. It was really only Hound that was an absolute flop.
I think since I’m so used to generations figures that seem to break when the wind blows, I’m still in that headspace
She's fairly sturdy. Only thing I've found is that when transforming the rear taillights, the pieces they are attached to need to be angled properly when tucking in and transforming back or you will stress the plastic. At the correct angle, there should be enough clearance to tuck in and flip out. I stressed the plastic going from bot to car doing it incorrectly the first couple of times. Part I'm referring to can be seen at 2:15-2:40 (And then also the reverse at 10:50 to 11:10)
Already 405! Why is it that we all seemingly have the same conclusion on how AWESOME she has and will be for the foreseeable future?! Almost putting her positives for granted already
Nice! In case you just didn't realise, she actually has very nice ankle tilt. A bit stiff at first but it's there. Could have been feet flat on the floor in that last pose if you wanted, for example. Using that, and with a bit of tweaking, she's very stable - could pull off most of those poses without the stand.
wow I keep learning new things about her. I wish I would have tried the ankle tilt before that pic now! I keep thinking she’s back heavy and needs a figma stand, but maybe I just need to play with the feet and work on balancing her better. (I actually talked a friend in to buying one and said to get a stand for her...I’ll probably be messaging him to say never mind just get the figure lol)
There really is something wrong with us as the positivity on my young Auntie Arcee is very much comforting and overwhelming! . Comes in contrast with a certain YTuber who goes by the name of the loser brand in the shapeshifting robot wars of the 80s is so butthurt at this figure. I mean, she ain't the Bestest EVAH since slice bread but the way he presents her, it's like Arcee murdified Old Yeller or something .
Legate, buddy, which franchise lost to TF back in the 80s and was eventually purchased by Hb? It goes by that name. Heck, it keeps on doing all those "polling" Top 10 videos that it's kind of its schtick and is getting annoying that I stopped watching the train wreck already..
And when I used that name in conjunction with the word Arcee in a YT search, it came up with precisely nothing that matched what you talked about.
