Every day of the week I'd rather see a generic bot than the 15,000th attempt at a Masterpiece or Legends scale G1 cartoon accurate figure (which is what it feels like about 90% of 3P is these days).

I don't know the details but JX apparently told some fans in a private chat group that TigerHawk was cancelled and the mold could be repurposed for an original character.

 

You should probably lead with that in context. Just posting a screenshot of a Chinese-to-English translated conversation doesn't really work.

Studio Cell was solicited as a Zeta/Toyworld figure right around/before Haslab Unicrons fundraiser. Then Toyworld cancelled the figure, feeling the heat/worrying about Hasbro.

Like a month or two later, a new company sprang up selling the Studio Cell figure, which was the Toyworld/Zeta unicron with no head or planet rings. Then they sold the head and rings separately for like 20 bucks and most retailers sold them together as a set

 

AFAIK, Cell has always been under Zeta as ZV-02 Corestar. It was offered long after they've had a fallout with Toyworld. So, ToyWorld was never involved with it. It was eventually split up as body and then head/wings due to controversy with them offering it up during the HasLab Unicron campaign. Hence, it came out under 01 Studio, to circumvent the said issue.

This is the stupidest excuse I’ve ever heard. These idiots are going to cancel this one figure because of “IP Infringement”, but Winged Dragon and the Cryotek repaint are fine? WHAT THE FUCK? Fuck them, if they don’t want money, let them die.

 

Sounds like they were paid off or hired on... or both.

 

Gutted. Was really looking forward to this. Really enjoy winged dragon
