I just had this idea:
-It is a shame Iron factory don't go heavy on remold or repaint (besides seeker of course) because I could see an easy remold of using both parts of these guys

Well the Banzaitron reuse of Blugeon, as well as the Alpha Trion reuse of Scourge might mean they are starting to change that policy. However both fit into the Samurai look they are currently pushing.

You might have to wait until they move away from that theme.

What makes you think that won't happen? There's been repaints of probably 80% of the Iron Factory molds. Granted, the schedule is all over the place (blue Heat Death showed up before Cygnus repaint), but I wouldn't count anything out at this point.

No change in policy, they've actually almost always done at least one recolor or remold of their figures, especially in the last few years.

No recolor of DJD yet obviously, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do a unified color scheme release at some point.

 

Thanks for the info. Oh well I thinks it's up to me to try and make this custom a reality. All I need is some one that is good at sculpting and painting because I am not good at either lol

I dont think it will happen because they still are a lot of part they need to mold to make rung right (chest head etc) not counting the actual transformations and saddly I dont think rung is popular enough in terms of design or character to warrant the effort. Maybe the mmc release will give them ideas

 

Playing around with Vos, not really sure what looks best with his arms in alt mode (though none are great)

 

Are these guys available anywhere or did I miss the boat? If anyone is looking to sell this set, I am interested! They seem out of stock everywhere :/

Yeah, they're going by ebay, but are open to offers. This set has always interested me, but I'm worried about possible tightness/breakages and it sounds like there are others here that'd value it more.

 

is it a steep price? it seems fair if you ask me. when you think of how much the original set ran this is only about an extra 80. not much of a late tax when you divide it by 5.

 

I don't know, the only one that's completely out of stock everywhere is Tarn. I think for the others if you looked hard enough you could get a more reasonable price for them.
