I picked up the infected Superman figure, and was rather displeased with the Joker aesthetic. Well, I recently found the scraps of another McFarlane action figure from over two decades ago: the Nightmare from Soul Calibur 2. And inspiration struck. Oh, hey! This corrupted Superman doesn’t look totally evil. Maybe he’s a good gu- oh. Crap. That’s a big sword. Superman’s left arm can pop off at the bicep swivel, and I had to chop away at a lot of the plastic to make the two arms fuse together. I used a lot of glue to make sure they stuck, but some superglue did fuse it’s way into part of the arm joint, freezing it in that exact angle. Oh well. I covered some of the holes from the “fusing” with extra plastic from Superman’s arm, and I feel it kinda gives it a distorted look like the costume is tearing a little to reveal the new arm. Armor pieces came from Nightmare and Mitsurugi, and I swapped out this Superman’s massive claws for the Nightmare hand so he could better hold the sword. I think it looks pretty damned great, and way better than “hero, but Joker.”
