If you posted it in this thread, then they probably did. I have seen a pattern where I have posted, and the next day if I go to the same store again, all the shit I posted pics of is totally gone, even that one time that Tucson Marketplace Wal-Mart had like 20+ fresh cases of Netflix Optimus and Soundwave. The very next day, every single one was gone, just saying. It's why I am not really posting much good info here anymore, I feel like it's being used against us by people with motivations other than filling slots in their own collections or obtaining items at cost for other collectors. But here, enjoy these depressing pics from all over Tucson. After a handful I just stopped taking pictures. You all know what empty pegs look like! In each picture, you are seeing "all that they had in the entire store"

I found some stuff at Target on McClintock and Baseline today. SS Rodimus, SS Starscream, MP Bumblebee, a couple Ractonites and Arcees. They also have multiples of the new Shang Chi marvel legends wave and some new DC shit- in case the punk ass scalper bitch lurker here needs a more diverse inventory.
I look at it like this. Yea there might be scalpers here but I've definitely benefited from this thread and I know some of my sightings have helped some genuine folks out. I figure take the bad with the good.
You’re right, unfortunately lurking scalpers has been a thing for a long time and will always be. It was a major issue in the Minnesota thread back in the day when I still lived there over a decade ago. It’s always a race to beat the scalpers regardless if they lurk here or not, so it won’t stop me from posting stuff I find here to try and give you guys a leg up.
Hell yeah. I wouldn't have got my hands on Sky Lynx or a slew of others without the awesome folks here.
Ultimately you guys are right, but after seeing the apparent results of my posting being that I enticed someone to come and wipe out weeks worth of stock at once, it's hard to think I'm doing anyone a favor. Ultimately, my best finds have been from waking up at 7 and kicking rocks, pure asshole and elbows the whole way, you wouldn't be able to focus a camera on me, such is that speed at which I'm hustling. And while it's kind to share info with others so they can come and grab what I left behind... Again, I'm not sure I'm really doing the community a favor. That shit's getting plucked and goes on ebay within a day. If I didn't say anything, maybe other intrepid seekers would come and find something. But this board is a resource for scalpers and when I post here they show up and EVERYTHING vanishes. Done!
But on the other hand, you get folks like me who work crazy long hours and can't spend hours hitting store after store. I get things I want by random luck or this thread. Canvassing the valley is something I can rarely do.
That's why on rare occasion I'll pick up a figure I already own and pass it on to someone without a markup of any kind. I would want someone to do that for me and I really hate the entire idea of that process involving this thought of advantage and profit and what can I take from you before I give you what you want. It just sucks. I think it'd be cool if on some level we were all on each other's team and helping each other meet our goals and get shit done and not looking for the chance to squeeze.
Totally agree with you. I've been lucky to have fans help me out in the past & I'm always trying to pay it forward. &, I know this is gonna sound terrible, but it's not entirely for the satisfaction of helping out a fellow fan because I definitely get a kick out of ensuring that one figure will not end up in the hands of a scalper. I've encountered several of the jerks we have around Prescott & they don't even know what they're buying half the time, they just know it's going for 3x retail on ebay, so any day I can screw them over is a good day
Now, to be fair, some of us lurkers are just filling our collections and don't announce every time we grab something. I know there's at least two other collectors with me down here in Maricopa and our Walmart suuuuucks. Empty pegs on 2/3rds of the action figure aisle, going on for months now. Every time there's a small miracle and something restocks, it's gone in a day. Two tops. While I don't doubt that there is likely a scalper or two lurking about, do remember that there are other collectors all over the valley and not all of them are on this board. Not to mention parents and munchkins. I suppose the point I'm rambling towards is that while I find scalpers annoying and infuriating, I feel that we as a community help each other far more than the leeches. Ultimately, if Hasbro would pull their collective heads out of their tailpipes and fix the abysmal distribution system, then we could all enjoy all the toys we wanted.
I'll usually share the results of my hunts here specifically for the lurkers. There's only one other person in my area that regularly posts but I know there are other fans around, there's gotta be. Things get stocked fairly well here (execpt Target...), there just isn't enough to go around, especially if the scalpers get there first. And the "jerks" I mentioned in my post are just that. I've run into the same guy a couple times scanning random things on his phone & filling a cart. I can't say for certain but it's unlikely somebody filling a cart with sought after (& only the sought after) Hot Wheels, TFs, Black Series, Lightning Collection, Marvel, & He-Man figures is a collector. I do agree with you that the local TF community is full of more great people than dregs. I've actually found that to be true of Arizona as a whole since I moved here. This is the first place I've lived where perfect strangers are willing to go out of their way to help out if they can
