It\'s really too bad this movie didn\'t live up to its hype.  Fun times in 2009 with all the speculation of this film, but man as sweet as this thing is, I just can\'t commit to something that was in a terrible movie for 2 mintues. 

Still so damn awesome!

 

Transformers was never more hyped than it was around 2009. ROTF coming out, TFA in full swing, WFC game and HFTD/RTS on the horizon. What a time to be alive.

 

Looks fantastic but I think I'll just be getting Optimus. I can maybe use the money I save on a future DLX figure.

 

No kidding! It was very exciting. I had my own custom painted Transformers YouTube page back then and it was fun watching Peaugh review figures that weren't out yet. Damn I miss those days.

 

who says comics and cartoons did not give inspiration to live action movies

 

It's pretty amazing how nostalgic I feel for only 12 years ago. I mean, life stuff was different but just seeing these designs remind me of simpler times when everyone was actually excited about Transformers and you could go see a big popcorn flick with hundreds of excited people. *Sigh*

But anyways, love that prime and definitely getting him. Combined mode looks amazing, but I think I'm good with just Prime.

 

I always wished they just had the blackbird pieces to upgrade an Optimus. No transforming into Jetfire, just the parts after he disintegrated.

I agree. The toys finally got so close to screen accurate. I musta seen ROTF 5 times in the theater, getting goosebumps every time Optimus said “I’ll take you all on!” WFC game delivered on so many levels. Too bad we haven’t gotten a decent game since Devastation.

Hmm definitely not a fan of that overly faded weathering on Optimus. Prime looked alot better on the threezero website screenshots. His colors were much more vibrant. Hope this isn't final.

 

Damn, really linking how Prime looks in that first shot. Not sure if it's just the pose or if they actually tweaked him up a bit but he definitely looks much better in terms of proportions (torso and arms area mostly) compared to the first announcement pics we got. The feet are still on the large side and maybe the paint could me a bit glossier but still an improvement overall.

Looks like they are also tweaking Jetpower Prime a little to be more movie accurate which is nice even though there are still some details missing.

I actually really like the way Prime looks there on display. Looks a lot better overall than their promotional images. Proportions look a lot better. Doesn't look as awkward.

The faded paint looks a bit off but it looks like the lights for the display area is washing it out. Also looks like they tweaked the Jetfire bits like the engine there on the combiner to be more accurate. Looking forward to these two!

yeah they really need to tone down that overfaded weathering on base Prime, bigtime. It looks like someone slapped Prime with a bag of talcum powder.

 

That paint could be a deal breaker for me. I don't like the massive weathered paint.

 

I hope this version sells well enough to warrant an Evasion OP release. I've bought too many versions of this design and the rusty colors would be more tempting to get.
