https://twitter.com/vb_amecomi/status/1387342422460489729 Amazon.co.jp The cover art for the Japanese edition of IDW's The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye Volume 4, containing issues #17 to #22, is now up. Hayato Sakamoto (坂本ハヤト) did this one. This volume is scheduled for release Monday 31 May 2021.
The art is amazing. I bet a lot of Japanese fans are gonna be pissed at IDW\'s interpretation of Star Saber though. I\'m not even Japanese, and I know I was upset with that gabage.
The Amazon link shows different cover art than at the Twitter link: - https://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/asin/4864915067/bigbotdotcom-22?tag=transformers-20 I've never seen full-colour "placeholder" art for these sorts of things before (they're usually just the standard, Amazon-style "blank" image).
You have not? villagebooks does it all the time in their Twitter announcements. I even see this advertising technique for translated books on Amazon USA. Drift More than Meets the Eye Volume 3 Robots in Disguise Volume 3
This. It's been common with these Japanese releases. The Amazon "placeholder" is in fact a cover by Alex Milne.
Prime 1's Shinjuku shop has these for sale. https://twitter.com/Prime1Studio/status/1403571136575664131?s=20
