They're as big or as small as they need to be. From a cpl of inches to 26" tall. FT Insecticons are around 5" iirc, as big as they need to be in relation to those around them.

MP-30 has a fun transformation. I can't stop fooling around with him.
MP-10B looks phenomenal (the KO includes the trailer and evil Roller/Spike).
THF Ultra Magnus is pretty fun, too, and the butt flap fix is simple.
FT Roadking is a beast - the engineering by itself is fabulous. I wasn't going to buy the FT Stunticons, but when I found Roadking on sale, I jumped on it. He's the figure I transform the most.

 

Not sure if you're joking or not but I'd actually put Ditka pretty high on the list. Looks nearly perfect in two modes and decent in the third - jet mode looks like a flying nacho but so did the g1 version, but the skinny nosecone and the zipper wings detract from it a bit. Plus I'll never stop racing about how good his and Crash Hog's hands look.

As for best, I feel like there's too many criteria to really settle on an overall best so I guess I'll go with the ones my eyes rest on the most often when looking over my collection.

1. MST White Light of Freedom (Ultra Magnus). The Light of Freedom mold is just very nice looking overall and his pearlescent paint is just gorgeous. I never look at my collection without admiring him.
2. MP Arcee. Dunno if she really deserves such a high spot and maybe it's just the relative newness compared to others but, backpack aside, she just looks great (maybe I'm biased because I gave her a new gave sculpt though)
3. Gigapower dinos. I know FT are generally preferred but the detailing and finish on the GP dinos are beautiful and make them really stand out in a display. I've still got FT Sever and I'm waiting for the reissue of GP Guttur to take his place - he doesn't look too out of place but just doesn't have the same wow on the shelf (I'll admit, though, that GP's face sculpts are generally inferior to FT's).
4. MP Soundwave. The design is outdated, especially the way his hips move, but he's still a gorgeous figure that perfectly captures the character.

I could probably keep going but I think that's enough for now.

 

MP-17 Prowl does everything I need an MP Prowl to do. He’s a monument to practicality.

MP-39 Sunstreaker is just a marvel of design (durable, posable and great looking in all modes).

NICEE is beautiful and well constructed and I like how they used the alt mode kibble as reconfigurable decoration in bot mode instead of a big ole honkin backpack.

MP-21 Bee is just fun to play with.

 

Hi guys, I’ve seen several people here mention MP-17 Prowl and I wanted to know the quality of the KO and how does the mold hold up? I know is kind of an oldie

The mold is def in need of an update, but I've not had any issues with my KO so far. Still feels kinda light around the legs and hips, but it's otherwise solid.

 

I own the official and two KOs, and they are virtually indistinguishable. I would not recommend the TT over the KO, especially given the price difference.

I love that mold, for what it’s worth. I own all of them except for the toony plus versions, with Blue Bluestreak being my favorite.

 

I’m pretty sure that they hadn’t started using the term masterpiece when Armada came out, but I agree that toy really is quite fantastic.

 

My KO Bluestreak had better QC and paint than my official MP Prowl.

 

My favourites are from the Hasui era:

Reason? They all look good in both modes and transformations are fun & intuitive.
