Got a ship notice from Dorkside for the comic Maul. Feels weird as it always seems like DS is last for Black Series releases.

 

I actually found Vintage ROTJ Boba Fett at Target a couple of weeks ago. Then news of the rolling change surfaced but I never checked the two I bought (picked the best two and left two). Today I got my Amazon preoder, and I received one of each: sensor bar and no sensor bar. Dug out my Target purchase and both are no sensor bar.

Sounds right as I am reading that the Wave cases are no sensor but cases of just Boba are with the sensor bar.

 

Let the bloodbath preparations begin!

Got mine in from amazon today. Sadly it wasn't the corrected chest plate.

Regardless, this figure is a disappointment. I was hoping it would just be a scaled down version of the 6 inch one, but the articulation just isn't there. The soft as hell plastic for the rifle doesn't earn it any points either. They seem to have swapped using the older hard 3.75 weapon plastic for the black series and the old black series soft weapon plastic for 3.75 now.

 

BAH! The softer plastic will just make him easier to chew up following his imminent swan dive into the Sarlacc!

 

I just got my Boba Fett from Amazon today... Didn't know there was an error. So which one I rarer? Guessing the one with?

 

From what I read, it is not known at this time. However now there is supposedly a third variant, sensor bar and darker green chest! Lol, I can't tell but just glad to have one sensor bar.

I ended up doing this and it worked perfectly! Black series appreciation restored.

 

Alright, damn! Didn’t know about the Fett variants and I need the one with with updated chest armor. Both colors if possible. Anyone have some extra to trade for the early version with no update? Thanks!

 

I’ll have 3 by tomorrow, 1 from Walmart & 2 from Amazon. I have the barcode version now.

Good thing I'm not a "variant" collector anymore. I am slightly tempted to see if I can get one with the sensor bars just to have him look somewhat correct.

which R2D2 is that?

 

That R2 is the one from the TLJ 5POA line (it was also rereleased for Galaxy of Adventures). I've custom painted some details, like the weathering, some of the silver and blue sections on the legs, and the light blue lights on the dome.

It's the best 3.75 R2-D2 IMO!

 

Got some new Star Wars reading for my birthday! Really excited to finish the Alphabet squadron trilogy.

I also got a board to put all my pins on! I really like how it looks, but I definitely need some more R2-D2 representation on there xD

Look at the upper left (Boba’s left) corner of the chest armor. If there are sculpted lines there, you have the updated version. The one on the left doesn’t look like it is but it’s hard for me to tell on the one on the right.

I’m up to trade with anyone who has any version of the updated ones as I have a couple extra early versions with no sculpting.

 

the one on the right has a vertical gray rectangle dead in the center of his chest...the one on the left doesn’t. And, the one on the right appears to be a slightly lighter shade of green, unless it’s just the lighting playing tricks.
