So I'm back again with another M.A.S.K. Crossover custom this time I decided to make the iconic semi truck Rhino, the base figure is that of TFP RID Optimus Prime with the arms and sides of the cab off the Ultra Magnus retool of the same figure as i liked the look of his arms more but I preferred the look of Primes windows.

Custom parts are the Head what was designed by Sam Makes toys on twitter, the engine thing (no idea), smokestacks, side steps, front wheel covers and the horns are all designed and printed by me.

Personally I really like how Rhino came out the alt mode for me at least its almost spot on with some of the the details missed for personal reasons.

Thoughts?

(P.S. please don't say/ ask why I didn't make the head of the bot the MASK of the person who comes with their M.A.S.K. toy I have got another idea in mind to do with the MASKs them self's and honestly answering this question is getting old haha)

The group is looking good. Still like the idea of using the actual masks for head sculpts though.

 

You set a high bar for yourself with your previous custom crossovers, but this cleared it. Wow. This is stunningly well-executed. Very nicely done.

Surely someone at Hasbro has seen these by now, why aren't they announcing a Selects subline for these? The molds are still new or fairly recent, plastic colors and paint ops are straightforward, and new heads are comparatively simple. It's money right there for the taking, Hasbro. And it's Kenner, you already own the IP. C'mon guys, do awesome things like this, not those stupid @#$%^&! NFTs. (Sorry.) [/rant]

 

Fantastic work, maybe the best of the bunch so far. The few deatils you skipped only improve the look by cleaning it up.

 

The only real big detail skipped was the tanks on the side of the truck nose but only because in robotmode it would add ugly bulk to the arms

 

I was also thinking the grille guard/battering ram and roof antenna, which would have made it too busy and likely harder to transform. The look you have is sleek and coherent just as it is.

Again, this is really good, except that the head lets it down. It looks like someone squashed some modelling putty into a cube and called it a day. I don't always criticise customs these days, but the high quality of everything else, compared to the heads is rather a stark difference...

 

Someone should lend a hand and 3d print the masks from the humans as swappable heads for the bots. Would be epic!!
