The quality on this leaves a bit to be desired in certain points. I'm hoping FT gets around to doing this character and his sidekick.

I'm honestly fine with KFC's offerings on these myself.

Does it? It's a solid brick of a figure. *shrug* How is your copy?

Or are you just regurgitating random posts on here as a fact?

It’s less refined than more contemporary figures, but I find that to be part of the charm :)  Kingorilla is the weaker design IMO, there’s too many small pieces with big lumps hanging off them. The overall character design presents a lot of challenges but I’m really fond of the horrorcons, both G1 and these fellas

Quality wise, they are on point, I have 3 of each and they are all excellent, I have no doubt that there are lemons too, but those are the exception rather than the rule.

I'm stating what I have observed firsthand.

I have both of them for quite some time, and I could not be happier. Their look is great in 2 1/2 of their modes (the backpack could be improved), and the quality is superb.

As I was saying, this figure and Kingorilla could have been better made.

Just got him, he's pretty damn solid compared to other bots. Other than the wide A stance and lanky dino arms I'm more than happy with my purchase :)

So how does one keep the head on this figure? I think the power-stats are cool and all, but the head just springs up and off the body all the time. Is there any way to keep the spring-loaded socket in the down position? Is there some terrible operation that can be performed to remove or weaken the spring? It's not like the head falls off once a month, it is that I cannot get the head to even stay on.

I've gone back a few pages and folks say there is something that catches when they insert their head. I'm not seeing anything on my neck pin that would catch in the hole.

Based on the amazing photos in this thread, I went ahead and purchased Kingzilla from BBTS.

Can someone answer a question for me? The box has a bunch of accessories, including a square piece of metal with rounded corners. Each side of the square is a bit longer than one inch. What does the piece of metal do?

    Thanks.

I think that is the metal plate for the Headmaster to stand on. He's unstable, but has magnets in his feet so he'll stick to the plate like a figure stand.

Agreed. They could of put some swivel on kingorilla arms in ape mode and/or on his wrists in gorilla mode. Kingzilla could of benefited from some ratchet joints on his knees (dragon mode).
