    That’s probably why they chose that version of diaclone variants. Optimus Prime sells like hot cakes in japan. It’s an easy sell for them.

    Man...would it be too much to ask for consistency in something as important as the cockpit in bot mode? It's much easier now that I'm pretty much off the MP wagon. Why, Takara, why...reasons, I suppose. I can imagine how that design meeting went:

    "Okay boys, even if they're a cohesive unit, these jet plane guys, being as this the last one, now is the PERFECT TIME to change up the cockpit colour in bot mode. Make it happen! People are going to be stoked!!!"

    Good point! The 20th anniversary logo was present on MP Beast Wars releases in 2016, 2017 and 2018, over the course of two full years. So who knows what they have in store for us next year! I'm gonna stay optimistic.

    They're giving the set away for free to those that purchase all 3 seekers and mail in the proof of purchase included with each release (printed on the flap of the box I believe). You need to have a Japanese address for this though. It'll be hard to obtain if you live abroad.

    This is the first time in a long while coverage is predominantly around masterpieces.

    The seekers and skids look great but I’ve boxed all my mps to sell at this point.

    I wonder if Soundwave will get redone soon now that he’s really the outlier among the cons

    I haven't purchased an MP since I got MP5 on clearance, but that right there would probably get me.

    Considering it looks very consistent with the original Diaclone toy, I’m cool with it. I’m more annoyed with the stupid name they gave him. He can just be my Masterpiece Orion Pax.
