From what I can see, Megatron still can transfrom into a tank, although he lacks the sword/laser gun that forms the barrel of his tank mode.

I wonder if Energon Megatron and Energon Galvatron repaints will follow?

EDIT: He does come with the sword/laser gun piece. so Shattered Glass Megatron is a triple changer!!!

 

IF they ever do an Energon Megatron/Galvatron again it’d probably be a new toy and then everyone can complain they didnt get SG megs from that even though the figure didn’t exist when this event happened

 

Let's freaking hope not. Those would look absolutely terrible on this mold.

I've said it once. I'll say it again. I want a repaint of this with new head sculpt as a Generations version of Meteorfire. It would work!

 

Why does Hasbro keep screwing up colors on their figures? Between this, Airazor, probably others I can't remember and to lesser degrees Beast Megatron and Inferno, they keep dropping the ball.

 

They should\'ve waited off and then used Kingdom Glavatron as the base mold.

But with my grivances aired, I\'m at least glad he\'s not a straight-up repaint and doesn\'t transform into a tank.

 

he is a straight up repaint and can transform into a tank. He just comes with three new pieces to make a jet

 

They weren't the parts from Galvatron, but I nailed them adding parts to an existing Megs to resemble the SG bot mode.

That's why I don't get all the hand-wringing about the jet mode. Odds are pretty good if they don't do that people would complain he's a tank.

They went the extra mile to include pieces to give him a more SG look in bot mode and integrated them in to a third improvised jet.

I poorly improvised jet mode. That front end is going to have zero locking in position for the main body.

 

I\'m hoping they do the CW Constructicons in their white and red colours as part of this line. I love their SG bios! 

 

And I totally dig it especially since it looks like Prime Megatrons alt mode too. I figured it was gonna be this mold since there’s not really any other recent mold that would have fit(to me) that wouldn’t require some hella extensive retooling. Those three extra parts make a big difference for me

 

pretty sure that’s what the new cockpit is for. Couple 5mm posts where the combat/weaponizer holes lock it in place

 

We're on the same wavelength. I've been thinking about Meteorfire all afternoon after seeing Megs, very similar aesthetic. I really want this guy but I almost never see new Cyberverse stuff in stores. It's always scraps of Warriors and Scouts.

 

Pimpin out the siege Megatron mold yet again   it's enough someone needs to tell Hasbro to stop.

Wait, as clunky as the jet mode is, and the fact that we have hit seeker territory in terms of repaints, why does it look so good? I really want this now, and now I want an SG Prime. Don’t care for ratchet, tho. Damn you Hasbro, I was expecting an easy skip!

 

I was going to pass based on what I'd heard originally but after seeing this, I put in a pre-order for it since he looks really nice. Only issue is that I wish they'd changed the head. He looks a bit evil to be a "heroic" Megatron

 

I agree I woulda liked the ER head(only the head not the body) but after reading the bio on the pulse it feels right. This SG Megatron lost the war and exiled himself so hes hurt, angry and feels like a failure. I can make it work with that head sculpt
