Hopping back into this thread after yonks. Just got one of the new reissued YM-03s w/ panel lining out of the box and all decaled up. It's a lovely figure, and crazy tight on all the joints that need it - except one. The right leg slider is terribly loose, and he can barely hold a standing pose without collapsing it down. I'm fiddling with him now but I'm not entirely sure how to disassemble the leg - there may be hidden screws or glued parts, and this is my first time actually doing surgery on the mold. Would anyone have any recommendations?

My YM-03 without panel lining just arrived yesterday from Show.Z. My right slider is also very loose. I put a few drops of super glue in the slider (which can be accessed when lifting up the heel spur panel), then shifted the slider up and down multiple times until the glue was relatively dried. That should create more resistance for the slider and improve things.

I'm really hoping this isn't the case across the board, considering YM's pretty solid track record so far. If I can't find any way to disassemble the leg and get a closer look I'll try the glue method.

I opened mine today. It has no issues whatsoever. The leg sliders are just as tight as all the other joints. I missed out on the first run, so I'm very happy to have added him to my collection today. Great figure - IMO only the Robot Hero version is even better. And they do look nice next to each other.

I just hope, BB7 will re-release Greenscream as well.

I got the Greenscream a year or so ago, It's a nice figure. (Only gripe is that the glossy surround of the rub-ons stand out more against the darker green, whereas on Starscream and Sunstorm the purple pops and the decals look great)

If these legs are only an isolated incident then it's for the better. I definitely want a reissue of TC and SW, especially with the new Seeker mold coming out - hopefully that might drop the price on these a bit.

After a bit of invasive surgery, I've gained a little insight into why my YM-03's leg slider(s? left isn't the tightest either but it holds his weight) is loose. The little spring-loaded nubs on the knee that the inside of the leg collides with when 'locking' into place are either too small, or the spring loading them is too weak. The solution is either finding a strong new spring, or new, bigger nubs - 3d printing for such small parts would be perfect. I haven't taken apart the knee itself yet so maybe there's something there that isn't lining up. (Also, I was wondering the past few nights why my BB7-02 Sunstorm's right leg was so goddamn tight. Either it's the knee or there's excess plastic where there shouldn't be.

Either way, I'm glad I won't have to start pumping superglue into the figure. Might work for some people, but not for me.

    Hello,

I received my YM model with/panel today, and the right leg of mine is also very very loose, all other joints are fine. I can't pose the figure, it can barely stand on it's own. The right leg is constantly collapsing.

I have the tendency to try to sell mine as second hand and order another one.
Such a pity, I was looking forward to this figure. I have the KO oversized- Thundercracker from Robot Hero, but I missed out on Starscream. I only got the Thundercracker as a substitute for Starscream. This version is the closest to the Robot Hero Starscream. So, I'm a bit bummed :-(.
There is something very off with the Takara ver. 2 / 3? coming out in June. It doesn't suit my taste. What happened with Robot Hero anyway?

Did you guys find a solution for it? Did the glue help?
Or is there something possible with nailpolish?
    Cheers.

I've modeled new internal tabs for the legs and will try to get them 3d printed ASAP. I will let you know if it works.

Update time! The internal tabs worked a treat - partially. I made them a bit too long on the first go so the sliding action requires too much force, and extending the leg after you collapse it is impossible. However, the figure easily holds a pose now. Will update again when I have the final version of the tabs - would like to have these available publicly for any similar issues with MP-11 molds.

Is there any other surgery, besides 3d printing? Or an advise, perhaps. I bought mine and that right leg is loose also. Don't have 3d-printer..

Man, I hate to say this but I've just about lost interest in the MP-11 KO variants. They've been delayed for so long, and I haven't even been keeping up with any news of them (if there were any at all). :(  It's a shame too, because I was willing to plop down some money for em.
